DEANNE MRAZ, MD, FAAD
Deanne Mraz, MD, FAAD is a fellowship-trained, board-certified dermatologist based in CT. She is the President and Co-Founder of Modern Dermatology of Connecticut in addition to founder of DMR Research, a cutting edge aesthetic-based research institution. The former CMO of Ideal Image, Dr. Mraz is an authoritative voice in aesthetics, who is intimately involved not only with clinical research, but also speaks on a global level, is on faculty at Yale New Haven Hospital Department of Dermatology, and is published in popular and peer reviewed press and journals.
Dr. Mraz received her BAS and MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and then went on to complete her dermatology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident and Director for the Yale Resident Cosmetic Clinic. Following her time at Yale-New Haven, she completed a fellowship in cosmetic and laser surgery.
Along with her distinguished experience in dermatology, Dr. Mraz remains active in academia and clinical research. Throughout her career, Dr. Mraz has conducted over 38 research studies as a Principal Investigator and 10 research studies as a sub-investigator for products and devices with companies like Merz, Allergan, Galderma, AbbVie, SkinBetter Science, Avita, Sound Surgical, Cabochon, Cynosure, Miramar, ThermiGen, ISDIN and Alastin. Dr. Mraz is the founder of DMR Research, PLLC located within the Modern Dermatology practice, where she leads clinical trials for both cosmetic and medical dermatologic advances.
Additionally, Dr. Mraz continues to serve as Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Yale University of Medicine in New Haven, as well as on the advisory board of leading brands. As the former Chief Medical Officer for Ideal Image, a national network of medical aesthetic and wellness clinics, Dr. Mraz was responsible for the overall direction of treatments and services offered, as well as the education of its clinical specialists, and overall patient care growth.
Dr. Mraz is an invited lecturer at national and international conferences (5CC, ICAMS, AAD, ASDS, ASLMS). She is also a popular resource to writers at publications including Life & Style, Allure, Glamour, Esquire, New Beauty, Vogue, Byrdie, Women’s Health and as a “Beauty Guru” for the blog, Beauty in the Bag.

Family Day – we love to spend a day exploring the beach at Sherwood Island Park.
Girls Night Out – Dinner and drinks at the Benjamin in Ridgefield is always the best!
Retail Therapy – I love WEST in Westport. It is totally my vibe and I can find something casual or for a glam evening.
Workout/Wellness - hot yoga at Kaia Yoga is my place to unwind and center. You can find me on my mat in the New Cannan or Westport studios.
MD MOM HACKS
If your little one had sensitive skin and is trying new food, apply Aquaphor or Vaseline to their cheeks before eating to protect their skin!
One step makeup coverage and sunblock. Find something you love to wear every day and has a SPF > 30. My favorite is IT Cosmetics “Bye Bye Foundation” which has spf 50.
