The open grasslands of the Maasai Mara allow for incredible sightings almost everywhere you turn.  You’ll find all of the Big 5 — lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo — along with hyena, cheetah, hippo, giraffe, zebra, countless antelope and scores of different bird species.

Sitting 1,000ft in the air, on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, sits Angama Mara, our flagship lodge. With glass-fronted tents, each with their own breathtaking view over the Maasai Mara, the en-suite rooms feature an extra long king-sized bed, double vanity, a personalised drinks armoire, bathtub, shower and private deck.

 The Great Migration — 1.5 Million wildebeest and zebra arrive from Tanzania, with dramatic river crossings. Lots of visitors and higher rates
