Shortly after lydialauer introduced me to Marie Saldivar steelhuts the three of us set a plan for product collaborations and media coverage. We put schoolhouse and dwellmagazine at the top of our list.

You know that feeling of finally opening that email from the film lab to see your scans? Shooting w a campsnapcamera gives that same small excitement… Without the 1+ week wait for scans, and of course the building cost of film/developing/scanning. Sometimes I don’t want to spend my film on casual outings, so this has been really fun. While I wouldn’t print these image files large, they really are *exactly* perfect for social media. It gets me running to this account excited to share about my day 🥹

Main goal: to disguise that attic door 🧐
Oh, and make it cozy and a tiny bit dramatic in the process.
Black walls + molding achieved all those things for us.
We actually have very little wall space in our bedroom because of all the windows/doors/slated ceiling, so painting such a dark color was not a concern.

Love my new quilt.
I had been hoping like others that the ochre looked more bright yellow as it appears in a few of the photos; however, it looks fantastic on my bed, and I’m kind of in love with it. Also, I made peace with the color knowing it’s perfect for winter. Who knows how I’ll feel come spring, but I’ll deal with that in approximately 3 months. For now, I’m happy.

Great material, color is off
The product arrived in fine condition, the weight is great, but the color is totally different than the images online and even other customer photos. The one I viewed online was a lovely yellow color and the quilt we received is more like a dark mustard. When I tried to take a photo for this review, I noticed it photographs brighter than it looks in person. So FYI if you're looking for a very specific color.
