Fantastic Sunglasses, Idiotic Packaging
These throwbacks to the old Whiskers are amazing. Oakley has maintained the same styling concept while modernizing the look. The addition of the spring hinges is a great new feature.Couple of cons though. Like many others have indicated the packaging for this is just plain stupid. They arrive in the same box as if you go to a store. Ok, no big deal, except they’re then packaged in the padded envelope rather than a box. Take a look at my photos. I consider myself fortunate my sunglasses managed to arrive undamaged despite the box taking a beating. Oakley sells the hard case separately but maybe they could increase the price slightly and ship the product inside that case and include it? I could be wrong but I recall my old Whiskers I purchased years ago came with it. Deducting a star for being cheap.The other con, again as others have mentioned, there is not a lot of styling options available. The lens/frame combinations are fixed so you can’t get the black lenses on the chrome frames. Kind of silly.Otherwise, great product and as always, in terms of the vision clarity, styling, and quality of frames Oakley delivers.

    Bought these because my old square frames all of a sudden came up missing. These were on sale, a good replacement. I like the Whiskers, and used to have a pair of the old ones. Genuine Oakleys, not some knock off or off brand stuff from a a fake Amazon brand. Optics are great, comfort is great and construction is durable. Exactly what you’d expect from Oakley.

    First they look awesome. The lenses are great not adding any noticeable refractive problems.

    Two minor things:
    1. These glasses are best suited for someone with an average width nose bridge (the place the nose pads rest on your nose) my nose bridge is moderately wide..so it took some adjustment of the nose pads to get them to fit correctly.
    2. I bought the polarized lenses... which work great outside... but block most of the display in the dash of my car.... so to see which source I am listening too on my radio... I have to tilt my head 90 degrees to read it or slide the glasses down my nose (see issue number 1) and look over my glasses. The display on my wife's car is perfect... but in my truck... I have troubles. Polarized lenses greatly help with glare off of shiny objects... and give the clouds in the sky a surreal look.

    Overall great glasses and would definitely buy them again

    I always loved the Horatio Cane look on CSI Miami and I equally loved the Issac Hayes look from my younger days. I also love and can afford Oakley sunglasses. They were exactly what I was looking for!!! Beyond being good looking they are extremely well made and solid. They have substantial weight for their size, and I'm confident that they won't fall off my face no matter what activity I engage in. I also got the Oakley sunglass leash kit, so that if my Whiskers weren't on my eyes they would be around my neck. No leaving them behind on some coffee table top! I have received a crazy amount of compliments on my new sunglass look, and am exceptionally pleased with my purchase!!!

    This is my second pair of the blue whiskers. Both pairs distorted with in the first few months. They are fragile and don't put them on top of your head. Both nose pieces move very easy. I even took to them to a eye doctor/glasses to adjust them and nothing. They look good and ok for the sunlight. A shame for a pair of 260.00 Oakley glasses. The 19.99 glasses at the gas station are better than these!
