Great little village with lots of delicious restaurants ad shops and galleries. Lots of fruit trees and a really cute beach (Spiaggia dello Scario). The village has a small supermarket, and has very good access to the rest of the island via the bus system, or by hiring a car or scooter at the various hire companies in the village.

We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month!
We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month! It was a quiet, peaceful town, with a small main street with a handful of shops, and maybe three restaurants, and more of a takeout cafe. We had excellent, leisurely meals at two of the restaurants, and really enjoyed the staff at both. We walked down to the beach one day, and loved it, but it was otherwise a lazy few days in a spectacularly beautiful place with very pleasant people. Malfa is a treasure!

Malfa is one of the main settlements on Salina.
Malfa is one of the main settlements on Salina. It's harbour is very small so it has no ferry or hydrofoil service. This gives it a different rhythm to other Aeolian villages where life revolves around the arrival of the boats.
It is quite attractive and has facilities like a bank and post office and a number of bars and restaurants as well as a few, quite up market, hotels.

Malfa is stunningly beautiful- very quiet and with great food and drink. Salina is a small volcanic island and so beautiful. The sunsets and rises are wonderful. For those who love rugged nature, walking, swimming and the beach it’s a fabulous place to stay and unwind. I stayed at the Residence Salina in a lovely room all self contained. I ate at A Quadara which was a fish restaurant and had the most fabulous pasta with pesto. I also had a quick lunch at hotel Scario on the road above the beach.

Malfa was the cutest town on the island.
Malfa was the cutest town on the island. Small but a lovely selection of restaurants, cafes, supermarket and a lovely pottery/tourist shop. Easy to walk around. Beautiful views. The local shuttle bus stops in Malfa and can take you to all other towns on the island. Recommend Ape Callesino tours - really unique way to see the island and especially Pollara at sunset which is otherwise not possible without your own transport - the island shuttle bus stops running quite early in the evening.

Malfa is a beautiful village within the island of Salina.
Malfa is a beautiful village within the island of Salina. A regular bus-service connects to other villages on the island. Nice restaurants and a beach. Watch out for jellyfish-wear a snorklel and swimming shoes. Slow pace of life and relaxed mood.
This is a family run establishment and they take such pride in their home and work. Had a gorgeous time there and the views from anywhere in the hotel were Insanely Beautiful! The staff were excellent and always ready to offer help and advice. It was easy to travel around the island and I would definitely return again in a heart beat! Do try their dinner menu too - it was delish and an experience to have. Thanks to the wonderful team at Principe di Salina!
The staff were super helpful with booking tours and giving suggestions of what to explore in the area. The room was a great size and good layout spread over 2 floors. The onsite bar has the best view of the sunset and the daily breakfast was very generous. Overall a perfect location in Malfa, it's a 5 min walk to the beach, 10min walk to the main street for restaurants and shops
This house is full of character and authenticity. The outside is private even though the house is located right next to the road. the view is partly the sea and mainly a lot of greenery, lovely! There are few spots on the island directly on a beach, so you have to go out. A great spot to explore the island. The hosts Salina Turismo are very thoughtful and nice. Thank you !
We loved our stay at Punta Scario! It had jaw droppingly beautiful views, and it was so peaceful and comfortable. they have an incredible bar overlooking the water, a perfect place to have a drink and appetizer at sunset. they also are right next to the entrance of the beach! they were so helpful and accommodating. we would definitely stay here again!
Possibly the best hotel we stayed in during our two week honeymoon in east coast Sicily, Vulcano & Salina, Malfa is delightful, the staff couldnt have been more helpful booking transfers, boat & scooter rental & vineyards etc. Spa was lovely and the food and drinks too! Plus the local beach is great fun and only a short walk away. Highly recommend.
The accommodation in a beautiful spot in Malfa, close to the beach and town. The view from the breakfast deck was beautiful. Also, I was unwell when we were meant to checkout and Gianfranco very kindly let us use the room for half a day and helped us with transportation. He was always on hand to help with anything we needed and made our stay.
Perfect location to explore Salina! The hotel is beautiful with the highlight being the infinity pool. We hired the e-scooters during our stay which were a great way to explore the island. The staff especially Nadia were very welcoming and kind to us during our stay. Definitely recommend
Located in the heart of Malfa, close to the restaurants and shops. Walking distance to the beach as well. Very amenable staff who were always willing and wanting to help with planning our day and sights to see.
Wonderful staff, very friendly and accomadating. Staff helped me arrange transportation and booked me on an unforgettable boat tour of Salina. Beautiful views from our room, a quick walk down to a lovely beach.
This hotel exceeded expectations. The service was above and beyond. Best service we received in 5 weeks in Italy. The food at the restaurant was also exceptional. Hotel itself is beautifully decorated.
Really good value for a beautiful, spacious home. Giuliana was very helpful, accommodating requests and giving advice on visiting Salina. A really lovely place, perfect for a quiet getaway.
It is the perfect stay in Salina. We stayed in the Studio apartment and it had all the confort you need and a wonderful terrace. It is in the center of Malfa and easy to reach.
Wonderful villas with heaps of room and modern, comfortable bed and facilities. a short stroll from the main area of Malfa with great restaurants and close to the beach.
