I wanted something stylish to hold my super expensive wireless noise canceling headphones. This stand does the trick with aplomb. The magnetic charger on the base was just an afterthought to me. However, I have come to enjoy it. It is so easy to just place my phone on the base while working at my desk to juice up the battery late in the day.

Charges the phone as quickly as any other wireless charger, and it's really sleek.It also has another port on the back where you can plug in another charging cable which is nice if you need to save plugin space.It has a really nice feel and weight to it as well. Honestly I would recommend for anyone to use as a headphone stand that games in pc for hours like myself.

Scratched, won't charge a phone unless the case is removed.
This is not a cheap headphone stand at £70. I thought I could remove the current Anker wireless charger on my desk by swapping to this Satechi unit, and also getting a simple headphone stand at the same time.Jason CScratched, won't charge a phone unless the case is removed.

The box was damaged - it looked like like an opened return that had been resealed and then passed off as a new item - I am not happy!
The black surface was covered in micro scratches.
The charger is useless - I tried a variety of power sources but none work unless I removed my phone case. I don't have this issue with the 3 other wireless chargers in the house.
Satechi products are normally really good quality (I've had two hubs and a power bank) , but this is junk. A real shame because it looks so nice with clean lines. Avoid
