- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2024Color: 0.8mm 50gVerified PurchaseAlright, DIY enthusiasts and electrical wizards, let’s dive into the world of soldering with the MAIYUM 63-37 Tin Lead Rosin Core Solder Wire. This isn’t just your run-of-the-mill solder wire; it’s your ticket to making every solder joint a thing of beauty.
First up, let’s talk composition. The 63-37 tin-lead ratio means you’ve got a perfect blend for smooth, reliable soldering. This ratio is like the peanut butter and jelly of the soldering world—ideal for creating strong, clean joints without the fuss. It’s got a low melting point, so it flows effortlessly and gives you that perfect, shiny finish every time.
The 0.8mm diameter is just right—thin enough for precision work, yet sturdy enough for robust connections. Whether you’re repairing electronics, building circuits, or just indulging in a bit of soldering DIY, this wire handles it all with ease.
The rosin core is the unsung hero here. It’s like the magic glue that helps the solder flow smoothly and adhere to surfaces, ensuring your connections are solid and reliable. No more frustrating soldering sessions with joints that just won’t stick. With MAIYUM, you’ll get those perfect, professional results with minimal effort.
And let’s not forget the 50g spool. It’s a decent amount to keep you going for multiple projects without running out halfway through. Plus, it’s compact and easy to store—no more tangled messes or searching for a spare spool.
So, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a weekend warrior, the MAIYUM 63-37 Tin Lead Rosin Core Solder Wire is your go-to for smooth, reliable soldering. Get ready to tackle your electronics projects with confidence and achieve those flawless, shiny solder joints that make every job look like it was done by a pro!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2025Color: 0.8mm 100gVerified PurchaseThis product is amazing! I purchased this because I was in dire need of an affordable yet high quality solder for my basic electronic hobby projects. The flux/rosin core is amazing, despite it leaving sticky residue and a film over the joints. The solder is of equal diameter, and with a good texture. It is not too floppy, nor stiff, and I really like how easy it is to use! It comes completely like as described! I have used this for many THROUGH HOLE components because although it may work, it is not suitable for small SMD component only because of the 0.8mm diameter. And although there are some noticeable differences between production-grade solder and this solder, I think it’s great for all hobbyists with a wide range of melting temperatures.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2025Color: 0.8mm 50gVerified PurchaseI like to keep 63-37 on hand for small electronic projects and noticed my old brand wasn't available currently so I purchased this and I was delighted. I use a Weller set to 340 C and tried with and without flux on Awg gauges 16-28 and was pleasantly pleased with how well the solder flowed and held. No mess, no splatter no, sharpe edges, just a clean joint and no cleanup. Great value for the money and easy to use as long as you follow soldering practices and I would highly recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2024Color: 0.8mm 50gVerified PurchaseThis solder works fine. No surprises.
I had a big reel of multi-core solder that disappeared when we moved to a new State. THAT stuff was the best I've ever used. Yes, that missing multi-core solder is tainting my review of this MAIYUM 63-37.
This MAIYUM 63-37 takes a bit longer to work, and is considerably more expensive. Nevertheless, it's very good, and does the job.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2025Color: 0.8mm 100gVerified PurchaseWorked great with a pinecil. Used it outside in the cold to fix up reverse camera wiring and had no issues. Didn't have to send the pinecil to extreme temps to melt.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2024Color: 0.8mm 50gVerified PurchaseAfter watching many YouTube videos about retro computers I decided to give repairing my original Macintosh. The presenters recommend using lead rosin core wire and used this MAIYUM brand with great results.
The quality of this made my work very easy, even though it was very precision and I had to work through a magnifier. The fine 0.8mm wire kept its shape while aligning it and flowed perfectly once I applied solder heat to it. The quality rosin core allowed it to flow without using flux which afforded easy cleanup. The resulting joints were smooth, with a nice shiny finish indicating a strong and reliable connection.
With this great price and the great performance I am extremely happy and highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great
Color: 0.8mm 100gVerified PurchaseI'm very much a begginer and only have a cheap iron to work with, but the solder seems to do a very serviceable job, far easier to get good joins than with the lead free sample that came with the iron. Flows well into the joins.
The use of tip tinner made a big improvement too.
