The beach house stands in an exceptional spot on the tranquil southeast coast of the island. Nestled in a captivating landscape between two hills, the residence overlooks secluded Lia beach and affords dramatic views of the sea and the nearby islet of Vous. Lia is a sand and pebble beach washed by inviting turquoise waters, with several tamarisks offering shade. Just a short drive away in the picturesque main port of Livadi, guests can socialise, do some shopping and savour authentic local dishes.

This enchanting villa has featured in top interior design magazines in Italy, France and the US. Warmly embracing the Cycladic aesthetic, the residence is the epitome of ‘less is more’. Whitewashed surfaces, stones and rocks blend harmoniously with the natural environment. A series of steps lead down to a private beach.
The accommodation comprises six separate single-storey rooms built with native stone. Some incorporate parts of old farm buildings that already stood on the site, while the new ones have been built to exactly the same scale in order to create a uniform look. Of varying size, their total area does not exceed 200m2. Each of the six bedrooms - 4 twin and 2 double - has its own en suite bathroom, some with marble clam-shaped washbowls from Turkish baths. In addition, there is a living room, dining area, kitchen and WC.
The tastefully appointed interior spaces are characterised by natural materials, predominantly stone and wood, with colours borrowed from the island’s timeless palette of blue, white and green. Parts of the walls are formed by the natural rock of the hillside, whilst the exposed wooden beams across the ceilings are particularly eye-catching. Planned so as to maximise the sense of privacy, the rooms have a dreamlike quality, with their gossamer curtains, retro ceiling fans and authentic furnishings.
The guest rooms are connected by inner courtyards paved with Karystian stone or cement mortar, achieving a seamless flow between the cosy interior and the labyrinthine exterior. With numerous hideaways for relaxation, including a hammock under the pine tree, the lush garden abounds with tall reeds, olive, fig, almond and palm trees, but the centrepiece is undoubtedly the shaded area with the large hand-built wooden table.
