The house's first show outside Paris, Balenciaga's Resort '23 was held on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange — the invitations, a fat stack of fake 100s. Divided into three parts, the first introduced a new “Garde-Robe,” or wardrobe, of what Demna described as “upscale classic garments,” inspired by the relaunch of the house’s couture collection built on a foundation of tailoring.
