  • No, RevAir’s technology stretches and smooths hair using gentle warm airflow. Your curl pattern will not change and you can expect your curls to bounce back after your next wash day.

  • No, internal temperature sensors maintain even heat significantly below the temperature where hair is subject to heat damage. RevAir is designed with 3 heat options. Setting II heat measures at 220°F/105°C while Setting I heat measures at 158°F/70°C.

  • No, your hair cannot get stuck or caught in the RevAir Wand. The only thing inside of the Wand is reverse airflow - nothing that can snag or pull hair strands.

  • Drying times vary by hair type but commonly range from 30 to 90+ seconds per section.

  • Products that don't work well with your RevAir are those containing fixative or tack-building ingredients that are meant to create volume or hold and could cause hair to harden inside the RevAir during use which can negatively affect results.

Gets frizzy curly hair straight and shiny in 15 min
I have 2c, medium corse, super dense, super frizz prone hair, and this thing is a massive game changer for me.Why I love it:- Time. It takes me just 15 minutes to go from wet hair to straight, sleek hair. I section my hair into 11 sections and Rev each one for 40 sections each, for a total of 7 and a half minutes of drying. The rest of the time is spent section my hair. I think if I get faster as sectioning it, it would take even less time. I set it to high heat and a speed of 4, reducing it to 2 for the layered sections around my face.-Natural looking. It doesn't make my hair look like blow-dried or straightened curly hair, it makes my hair look naturally straight. I prefer this to the "done" look of a blowout. I've gotten tons of compliments on my hair since I started using this. Even clueless guy friends are like, "Wait, something's different with your hair? It looks awesome."- Effort/ease. I can dry my hair in the same amount of time with the Revlon One-Step, but it's more work and takes more technique to get it right. With the RevAir, you just section your hair and stick it in the wand and hold the want to your head.- Cool. The RevAir is much cooler to use. I don't get sweaty drying my hair with the it in the summer like I do with a traditionally blow dryer or the Revlon One-Step.- Less product. I use so much less product with RevAir. All I need is a little leave in conditioning spray (I use No Nothing Moisturizing Mist and it doesn't gunk up the RevAir), as opposed to serums and hold products with a blow out or gobs of gel when I wear it curly.Downsides:- Cost. The RevAir costs 10 times as much as a Revlon One-Step. The results and experience of using it are much better, but it's hard to say if it's TEN TIMES better.- Size. This thing is basically a small canister vacuum. The body of it is about the size of a toaster, and the wand and hose are big and bulky. It takes up a lot of counter real estate and you can't travel with it unless you're going on a road trip in a big vehicle. So far I've had this for about a month and I find myself reaching for it every time I've washed my hair since I bought it. It's made me totally abandon the Curly Girl method!

I have thick, wavy to curly hair. You will be amazed at how easy it is to have the hair go up the tube and come out stick straight.

It is heavy when you are drying your hair, but not bad or a deal breaker. I can't see traveling with it easily; perhaps if you are on a road trip but not an airplane.

It cuts drying time in half. Your hair is smooth and silky. It does make it stick straight, so if you like volume and some bouncy wave, it won't do that. You can use a curling iron after, but to me, the point is less heat and heat damage.

There is some learning curve with this unit. It can make your ends look a bit dry. I called the company and they were extremely helpful and explained some things to do that have now greatly improved my results.

I'm definitely getting the hang of it and really love it!

This is the best product made since the microwave. I thought the videos seem too good to be true and were probably just paid influencers but this product is as great as it seems. It used to take me an hour to dry my hair, and now I get it done within 10 minutes.
It is big, and heavy, so as soon as they can get a smaller or portable size for travel I’m buying that model. Some reviews talk about it being noisy but it’s no more noisy than a blow dryer. Regardless of the size or the noise it works beautifully - from tip to root. And that’s what matters.
The only drawback is that I cannot put products on my hair until after I dry my hair because I don’t want them to be sucked off my hair into the machine. The good news is I need far less protective product sinceI have less breakage using this machine than a traditional brush and blow dryer. I know it’s expensive, but it’s worth every penny.

After a couple of years of eyeing this product on YouTube videos, I finally decided to break down and purchase the RevAir to test out on my 6yo who has long, thick, coily/kinky hair. What drew me to this drying device is its ability to quickly dry and stretch the hair at the same time without excessive heat and passes. As my son typically hates wash day due to being tender-headed, I'd been on the hunt and had previously invested money into another dryer that I thought would help ease tension during the drying process (the brush dryer). Needless to say, after receiving and testing the RevAir on my son's hair yesterday, I've officially found our hair-drying device! During yesterday's hair-drying process, my son made not one sound nor flinched. Actually, he commented that he loved this hair dryer and even after I'd finished drying his entire head, he asked if I could do it again. The ReAir was effortless in smoothing and drying his hair while retaining adequate moisture on the lowest heat settings. And because of how easily it smoothed and dried his hair, the styling process was a breeze for me to complete. I feel the RevAir is definitely worth the investment, especially for us curly/coily/kinky girls/guys looking for a hair-drying tool that dries the hair quickly with minimal heat while smoothing all at once.

I personally love the RevAir for my tight coils or as some call it “4c texture”. I was looking into investing into a hair dryer that stretches my hair without excess tension or ripping my hair out. For reference I was previously using the Kiss Blow Dryer with the comb attachment; and while it did get the job done, I was concerned that the comb attachment was snatching my hair out. So I came across the RevAir and did my research. Here’s my take:

    PROS:
    1. Gently stretching the hair shaft using reversed air that does not exposed hair to excess heat.

    2. Stretch setting is easy to set for any hair type. There are options between 1-7

    3. The heat settings do not fry your hair. There are 2 heat options and 1 cold and even with the highest setting, the RevAir regulates the heat.

    4. Drying time is less using this product

    CONS:
    1. The price is not affordable for those wanting to experience the RevAir. I do think this product is well constructed and based on newer technology however the price is not feasible.

    2. The machine is loud when in use. That may bother some users.

    3. After prolong use, the machine does get heavy after a while. With finishing one section of my head, my arms are slightly fatigued

Overall I love this product and how well it stretches my strands while ensuring efficient drying time. If this is something you’re interested in then I definitely recommend you give RevAir a try

Honestly, I spend so much time blow drying my hair and straightening it. Yesterday, I got my new revair and instead of taking 2 hours to do my hair, it was mostly straight by using the revair. I used the highest setting for drying and it sped the time up. If your hair is brittle, the low setting is good too. It'll just take a little more time, but still I would've still been done doing my own hair in about 55 minutes with level 0, but since I did level 3, I was done in 35 minutes. I'm happy. The only issue is that this is bulky. I don't know where to put it. I'll figure it out, but I'm keeping it and it's mine. 💗

I’m giving it 1 star because this thing is very very big and bulky. It’s a heavy object to have holding over your head for 20 minutes. It does dry the roots which is a good thing but the hair isn’t as smooth or straight as advertised. It also takes about the same time to dry. Even though there were 3 heat and power options, your going to use the highest for both which really just puts it in the average range for both heat and power. I would have liked to be at a level 5 with some room to increase the intensity but at it’s max it’s just as strong as a regular blow dryer. If I kept this thing I’d have to find a huge box or bag to store it in. It has a long hose so storing it under my bathroom sink won’t work nor can I put it in a draw. This is a $100 product with all its shortcomings. Great idea but needs so much work to make it useful for most people to use and enjoy. I guess it would work better if someone else was using it on you. But then the storage problem. Overall… I’m returning it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Knots the (long) hair
Reviewed in Canada on January 26, 2025
I have a very long, slightly wavy natural hair. This air dryer really made the hair strands very straight, which I loved since I didn't have to straighen them with an iron and damage the hair, but the ends of the hair were ALWAYS coming out in extremely tight knots (no matter how big or little the section size was, and how perfecly brushed out they were before). I ended up either having to take the section out of dryer every few seconds to brush out the knots, or end up with such tight knots that I had to untie them by pulling each hair out (which took me so much time it didn't make an sense to use this over a normal hair dryer anymore). There were even a few times where I had to cut out the knot parts because they were too tight to detangle. Even when I detangled the knots, though, the hair was damaged and looked broken and dry. I was ending up with long, shiny, straight strands.... with damaged and crinkly ends.

I think this air dryer would work much better on short, thick hair.
