Toe box is too narrow for wide width
I ordered my usual Ryka wide width for my flat feet but the toe box has a narrower angled shape that leaves no room for my little toe; my toes could not move. In my photo the shoe on the left is the Ryka Devotion X and its shape is rounder than the X Max on the right.The ridiculously large logo is my other gripe. For comparison, the shoe at the top is the Rythma walking shoe from 2020 and has a tasteful 5/8 inch wide logo. Below that the Devotion X's logo grew to a gaudy 2 inches wide, and now the X Max's is a huge 3 inches wide.

    First time purchase of Ryka shoes. They are without a doubt the most comfortable tennis shoes I have ever worn.
    1. The shoe looks and feels very well made
    2. The inner sole is amazing. There is extra padding in the heel, which I really need due to bone spurs. The arch support is superb for me and I have plantar fasciitis and flat feet with inward pronation. My fasciitis has not bothered me at all since I started wearing them. My heel is much narrower on my right side compared to mu left. I can correct the slight slipping by pulling my laces tighter. I have not had any problems with blisters. They were perfect right out the box.
    3. The toe area is exactly what I need. It is roomy and soft and also has extra padding.
    4. The shoe is lightweight.
    5. Outside sole is thick and protective
    After wearing them the first time I wanted to immediately purchase more in different colors. ♥️

    This is first time I have owned Ryka and I like them alot. There is a bit if adjustment for me anyway...to get used to the arch support. However they have lots of toe room and I struggle with that in other shoes..even the wide sizing. These are definitely great in that area. This model has lots of cushioning which also took me a minute to get used to..kind of like a little springy when u step. I have had them only about a month and so far I don't have any complaints. I will admit to wondering if I could change the insole liner and take that arch support out to see if it works better for me. I do have an arch but the insole on these seems a bit high. If not changeable I am sure I will get used to them. I might try a different modle next time. Price is very reasonable.

    normally you go up a size or half a size in tennis shoes/sneakers. Atleast that's how my Nike's, Asics and that have worked for me. Since i'm on my feet alot with baking, i needed some extra cushion for my heels and arch support!! I research and found Ryka and learned that are made for women by women. They have a narrow heel and a wider toe bed. i have a small foot (size 5) so i have a hard time anyways but throw in a very narrow heel, high arches and alittle wider across my toes and it makes it tricky. But i decided to try these out and see how they would work for me. i ordered a 6 because my last Asics i was a 6. I also ordered a 5.5 in another Ryka (the Devotion). So the 6 was too big but let me tell you ---right away i need this were for me! There is so much cushion and the arch support is amazing! The 5.5 in the regular Devotion by Ryka were excellent to but the Devotion Max has lots more cushion ---you feel like you walking on air. The 5.5 fit my foot better but i'm really thinking i could go down to a 5. So if you are ordering i would say true to what you wear in sandals. and if you are on your feet for a good amount of time--definitely order these! you will love these!

    I have always been a fan of Ryka shoes. Once you own a pair, you will never buy anything else. I bought a pair of Hoka. They were not comfortable for walking until after reading the reviews. Someone suggested putting Dr. Scholl's insoles in them. And that worked. However, there was no comparison to these and nowhere near the cost. I have two pairs of walking shoes since I like alternating them and I can really tell the difference
