I’ve been using this toothbrush for a little over a year now (purchased Dec. 3, 2021) and have had very little issue with it. However, this morning I smelled something burning and found that it was the toothbrush that I had plugged in a couple hours before to charge. Everything including the toothbrush and the cord was hot to touch and part of the toothbrush melted off and stuck to the usb port. Thankfully I work from home so I was able to unplug before something worse happened. Before I plugged the brush in, I noticed the brush would not stop vibrating no matter how long it had been even though it’s supposed to after a couple minutes. It did not stop until I plugged it in. This has happened one other time before a few months ago but it never got hot while charging before now. I will not be purchasing this brush again.

Writing this as a former dental professional. (this by no means makes me an expert) I was a huge fan of the OralB Pulsonic. It was a small, portable effective brush with all the bells and whistles of the bigger brushes. When mine finally died after 10+ years i came to find that brush was discontinued. After an exhaustive search, this was the only rechargeable portable brush i could find that i felt could be a decent replacement. It honestly was better than i expected. It was so inexpensive i feared it would be junk; it is not! The small size is perfect for my everyday and travel needs; the fact that it can be charged with a phone charger is a bonus and i love the travel case that also helps keep the brush drawer clean. More importantly, the brush head is wonderful! I was used to the round brush heads with the previous brand i used, which is pretty great at getting all the tooth surfaces. The Philip's brush heads are shaped like a regular toothbrush, but are so much softer than what i was using before. People don't realize how much damage hard bristles can do to one's gums if you aren't a gentle brusher. It's the reason other sonic brushes have a flashing red light feature to let you know when you're using too much pressure. The 2 minute timer with 30 second and one minute prompts are exactly like what i was used to as well. Been using it for close to a month now and haven't needed to recharge yet. The soft brush head is also holding up. It's not as powerful as other brushes, but unless you have a ton of plaque or stain, (no judgement) this is should do the job and is a steal for under $20

I travel a fair bit and missed my electric toothbrush when I did. So I got this for the travel kit. I still use my Philips Sonicare at home and it is slightly more powerful but too bulky to travel with. The Philips One (this item) is scarcely bigger than a manual toothbrush and does a much better, more satisfying job of brushing. I've actually taken it backpacking and raft camping, it's so compact. I've not actually run it down far enough for it to require charging (after a dozen or so uses I just charge it again) but it seems to hold a charge for quite awhile, and one always has USB-C available to recharge.

I was looking for a compact and powerful travel toothbrush to replace my existing one. Bot this one and was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was as powerful and effective as my regular full sized electric one. It is versatile and compact. It only needs to be charged one every 30 days or so. The brush attachments get into those areas that are tough to get at with a manual one. I have been using this regularly and love the way it cleans my teeth. Would buy it again. I also love the fact that it shuts off when the 2 minutes are done. This is a great feature

I had a quip toothbrush for a year or two after my plug-in Philips Sonicare died on me, and found the battery-replacing to be annoying. Of course, eventually the motor stopped working on that quip, so I opted for a rechargeable Sonicare brush, reentering the world of Philips.

And it was great! Or, fine! As long as you don't intend to use the included case, I mean.

Right out of the box, you have your basic toothbrush needs—the toothbrush head which seems a bit smaller than preferred but works all the same; the battery/body, a perfect handheld size; the utterly useless case, whose lid refuses to remain closed no matter what; and a USB-C to USB cord. While I ran into occasional issues charging the battery (not all USB-C cables seem to play well), I think I got over that hurdle.

The aforementioned case is the drawback. Under no conditions will the lid of your case stay closed, which pretty quickly took this out of the running for travel brushes. Beyond that, it tackles the same needs as quip or other lower-movement (basically just vibrating) rechargeable electric toothbrushes, with what seems to be a higher success rate so far in terms of maintaining a charge. If only that lid would stay closed.

Edit: This review was originally two stars due to an issue I had with the device's battery. I assumed I was doing something wrong though, so I rewrote and rerated four stars once the battery seemed to hold a charge again.

I'm back to a non-working battery that most often does not charge—and the power button now seems non-functioning. Maybe my brush is just a one-off, but this seems like a defective product after all, so I have to revert back to two stars. It was nice when it worked, but the majority of my time with it, it has not worked.

I've had the much more expensive Sonicare toothbrush for years and been happy with it, but it was always bulky to travel with and it finally was time to replace it. Saw this and thought I'd give it a try. LOVE the compactness of it - much more like holding a regular toothbrush - and honestly I don't need all of those different vibration/speeds - on my old toothbrush I just set it at one speed and kept it there - so the simplicity suits me well. I've traveled with it three times already and it travels perfectly. Another reviewer had complained about it turning on during travel - if you use the brush cover as instructed it would never turn on - again, nice simple cover design. The battery has lasted over a month on a full charge. Would buy it again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great travel tooth brush
Reviewed in Canada on July 10, 2023

I already own a Philips Sonicare tooth brush at home and absolutely love it. However, even if it comes with a travel case, I’ve never enjoyed traveling with it as it’s an expensive model. The case is also relatively big in a small backpack/handbag. It’s perfect at home, but I was looking for something smaller and easier to travel with, which is how I ended up buying the Sonicare One. The Sonicare One is exactly what I was looking for. Even if it is less powerfull than my other Philips tooth brush, it does the job wonderfully when I’m traveling. It’s a cheaper yet effective alternative when I’m not home. The case is slim and light (it even fits in my purse), the tooth brush is efficient, it’s easy to charge anywhere and, considering that I’ve already lost suitcases while traveling, I feel more comfortable knowing that I’m traveling with a 36$ tooth brush rather than my other one worth 400$. Overall, even though there are more powerful alternative, this is a great budget friendly tooth brush that’s very convenient. I do recommend it and would buy again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very weak vibrations
Reviewed in Australia on December 16, 2023

Delivery was efficient. Unfortunately the toothbrush was a huge disappointment. The vibrations are so weak it hardly displays any “sonic” activity. I am a long time user of the Sonicare toothbrushes and have been very happy with the results. However this toothbrush has no power compared to the full size / normal Sonicare toothbrushes. I would not recommend this if you are looking for a toothbrush that can give you the Sonicare effect.
