Minerals are the heart and soul of our Lime Wash and Mineral Paint, serving not only as the binder but also the pigments of both products. Silicate (rock-forming) minerals constitute nearly 90% of the earth’s crust. It stands to reason that a material older than time can far outlast synthetic ingredients typical of modern paint. The materiality of minerals, the tiny facets of tiny particles, is what lends a dynamic quality and an unparalleled stability to our pigments and thus our finishes. Noted color specialist Eve Ashcraft has composed a palette of 55 colors unprecedented in breadth and depth. Derived wholly from mineral pigments, the colors are subtle, rich and natural. The value the pigments add to the Lime Wash and Mineral Paint cannot be overstated. As minerals extracted from the earth, these pigments have an unrivaled intensity, materiality, stability and longevity.
