Slowly, but surely, I'm upgrading my camera and lighting setup for my videos. I've been using another little light box for almost two years but decided it was time for an upgrade. Cool thing: This uses the same batteries! Woohoo!

I'm loving these new lights with the LCD screens and lots of settings. I'm constantly amazed how things have changed in just the past few years. This light is something I would have expected to pay a LOT more for just a short time ago.

Pros:
1. Two different settings: White or Warm with brightness, and RGB (or scrolling RGB...see the video). Obviously I'll use the normal mode for the majority of my videos (this is my "face" light), but there will be times I want to throw some color down, especially when working on crafts or doing themed videos. The RGB setting works really well. 256 color settings that can also auto scroll until you find just the right one.

2. The LCD screen and single button provide everything you need to go through the settings. The included instructions are also extremely helpful as when I first turned it on I was in RGB mode and couldn't figure out how to get back to white/warm. Long press is your friend!

3. Hot-shoe mount will come in handy. The next thing I'm getting to upgrade my setup is a mount for this light. I'm glad it comes with the hot-shoe already...saves some money. Right now I've got it mounted on a little tripod on my desk. Yes, this also has standard sized mounting holes.

4. The mount itself can be tilted up, down, and to the sides. It's similar to the mount you get with a GoPro.

Con:
1. This does NOT come with a tripod of any sort. Not a big deal for me because I have several. Just something to be aware of...You will need your own solution to mount this on.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the quality and the features. There are several different ways this can be mounted, and the different lighting options are great. I love the LCD screen and the ease of use. The fact that this uses the same batteries as ALL of my other lights is a huge bonus.. Really an ideal light for people who don't like the weird eye-thing a ring-light does in videos. Haha

Not only is this a 299 color wash light that operates in a preprogram full color spectrum span is also a single color from white to every shade 299's colors away of two purple.

A simple easy to use light. No changing gels, no resetting flip switches, dip switches, poke switches for brightness. Simply click turn it on rotate the switch find the color and then the brightness you want and you're ready to go.

In this upgraded version of the slight it comes with a battery charger which was very disappointed in previous lights by this manufacture on the flipside there is no power cord for continuous operation of AC.

Still all in all your previous lights from this manufacture the power cords are interchangeable and while a "con" a minor one

. Out-of-the-box this light is up and running. Unlike previous versions with programmable remote controls there's no learning curve.

I was excited to be able to shoot a video literally within five minutes of opening the box. This made be as simple as operating a flashlight but much more powerful and certainly more versatile.

every color can be modified from the slightest you to the brightest bolus color of that color.
Very accurate brightness settings ± 1%.

I was looking for a video light that had good bang for the buck and this Viltrox delivered. It's BRIGHT. Like, if you live in Alaska and you're tired of 6 months of darkness and really need a portable sun, kind of bright. Okay, maybe it's not THAT bright, but it's sufficiently bright for most photography/videography needs. It's adjustable in both color and brightness. You've got white light that is variable from a cooler blue to a warm yellow/orange so you can match the ambient light in most situations you'll come across. If you're looking for something to use for creative lighting effects, this is also the light for you. For example, if you're sitting at home and want to have a rave in your pajamas, THIS LIGHT CAN HELP YOU DO THAT! Granted, it's probably a little slow when it comes to changing colors for most rave music, but you can definitely use it for some neat effects in your photo/video projects. It would also be great for light painting or even using the red light setting to help with night vision for astrophotography. Long story short, I didn't expect much from this little light but it's definitely surprised me so far. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a great value light.
