Had the privilege to be Mallika Basu’s plus-one for the relaunch of the waitrose No 1 premium range, and boy was I in heaven!
They’ve got 200 new products out, across deli, desserts, wines, flowers, meats and fish, you name it! Suffice to say I loitered around the cheese stand quite a bit! That pasta in the parmigiana wheel…
At the Chef’s Table, Waitrose’s culinary team presented a four course mini tasting of deliciousness. Particularly the wagyu fillet and their dauphinoise pie! Lordy!
We departed happy, very full, and clutching a goodie bag full of South Asian ready meals and a bouquet of stunning flowers.
Thank you so much mallikabasu_ and waitrosepr for putting on a dazzling event.
