Find the Fill Port

Along the open end of the bag, find the line with green arrows and recycling symbols, the arrows indicate the direction of air flow. The fill port is situated above this line, on the side opposite the arrows.

Open the Fill Port

The fill port is initially sticking together, gently rub the flat fill port area to separate it.

Insert the Pump Tip and Inflate

Insert the pump nozzle into the fill port. While inflating, hold the fill port over the pump nozzle to ensure air enters the bag properly.

Okay, so I used these to go on a cruise. Took two bottles using these and ZERO issues! Ended up bringing a bottle home… forgot I put it in the dirty laundry bag (inside 2 plastic bags) and found it STILL GOING STRONG in the washer. Brought these with us to Scotland so we could safely bring back whiskey. Most of them inflated all the way, a few did not inflate at all and still others only partially inflated. When fully inflated, they kept the bottles and their precious content perfectly safe. Buy a few more than you think you'll need so you ensure you have enough. Sadly, once inflated, they need to either be thrown out or stored in their puffed-up state as you can't remove the air.

Alternative Use? Christmas Nutcracker Storage!

My husband bought these to safely store my son's nutcracker collection. When inflated I was able to slide his standard sized nutcrackers down into the bags. It is a snug fit but very secure. The lid part slid over pretty much every one of their heads. They were easy to stand up or lay down in a storage tote without fear of damage. We were able to dispose of a ton of bubble wrap, foam sheets, tissue and other storage materials we had been using over the years that made it a mess to get them out and take them down every Christmas. The only complaint was that it is kind of tricky to get the inflator into the hole for inflation. The material likes to cling to itself and is tough to separate to insert the inflator. Because it's the same length on both sides of the opening it's kind of difficult to separate. I found that I could more easily insert a fork tine, then slide the inflator in. After that, not too bad. Plus, you only inflate them once, so it's a non-issue once that is done.

I was able to get two bottles of gin and one of whisky home from the UK with no problems using these, even though my hard-sided luggage cracked open and a wheel fell off!

Some of these don’t have the hole for the air, from what I can tell - but when you are getting several of them, a few can easily be disposable.
