The Brompton Electric folding bike is the most compact electric folding bike available. The electric assist system provides power to flatten out the hills and increase your speed while still allowing you to enjoy all the benefits riding a bicycle provides. After years of planning and design, Brompton was able to achieve a lightweight electric bike without increasing the folded size that Brompton is famous for.
Brompton’s electric assist system was designed in partnership with the Williams Advanced Engineering Team, who combined their technical Formula One and Formula E knowledge to develop an electric bike motor that meets the complex demands of a Brompton. Ride into the wind or up hills with ease.
The 300Wh battery provides energy to maintain 15 MPH with a range of between 20 to 45 miles. The integrated display shows battery power level, and allows the user to select from three different power assist options. The range of the Brompton Electric is dependent on the user output, assist level settings, and conditions of the ride, such as wind and hills. The battery separates with one click from the bike making it easy to carry.
The compact fold of the Brompton Electric allows you store it safely inside your home or workplace, where theft is less likely.
The Brompton Electric bike is available with an option of either two or six speeds, and two handlebar height options -- either a M type or H type (more upright) riding position. There are also three different seatpost options depending on rider height.
The standard Brompton Electric charger that comes with the bike is a 2A charger. Charge time is approximately 4.5 hours to get to full charge. Brompton's battery has a USB charging port (5V 1.5A) allowing easy top-ups of your cell phone.
All of Brompton Electric bikes come with the standard battery bag, which has a pocket to fit your essentials or your charger. There is an optional City bag available that has room for your larger items like a laptop, as well as the power supply and other items. A fork-crown mounted headlamp and brake-mounted taillight are powered by the 300Wh 36V battery.
