I've used a Fitbit for tracking my exercise and health goals for almost a decade now. I'm continually impressed with the newer features and improvements. My prior Fitbit was a Charge 4 which worked great, but had an unfortunate design flaw that eventually led to it dying...its band prongs on both sides of the bezel were somewhat flimsy and broke after a few years of wear. Now, one can expect to get about two to three years out of a Fitbit, so I wasn't heartbroken, but the new Charge 6 eliminates this issue by moving the band prongs to the band side! Now, if anything were ro break under stress, it would be the band, not the bezel. This is a much more feasible solution to a relatively basic problem. Otherwise, not much to report other than the Charge 6 works extremely well, looks terrific, and is very easy to set up. Zero complaints from me!

Device Works Well; The Watch Faces Are Tacky At Best
This is my 4th Fitbit Charge device. I have previously had the Charge 5 and two Charges before that (though I don't remember which ones). One thing to know about Fitbit devices are that they are designed to last about 1-2 years, though they sometimes last longer. I think my longest lasting Fitbit device lasted a little under 2 years total.The Charge 6 works fine for what it is - a fitness tracker. I personally only use mine to track heart rate, calories and sleep. I am coming back to Fitbit from an Apple Watch Series 9 and can attest that the heart rate tracker and sleep tracker work much better on the Charge 6 than on the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch was MUCH better at turning the screen on whenever I looked down at my wrist though; the Charge 6 sometimes takes a few tries and isn't as responsive.One major gripe I have with the Charge 6 is its limited watch faces - this was a well known issue with the Charge 5 and I am quite disheartened to know that they carried these horribly tacky watch faces over to the Charge 6 despite all the complaints they received. There is some speculation among the Fitbit community that Google is intentionally phasing Fitbit out in the long term, and I can't help but wonder if this is a way for Google to position their Pixel Watch products in the wearables market; i.e. "look how good our Pixel Watches are compared to these lousy Fitbit products!"Anyways... back to the horrible watch faces! The Charge 6 has a permanently set list of watch faces you are forced choose from, and that includes some watch faces that you have to pay for (not all of them come with the Charge 6 for free). There is no option to customize the watch face, develop your own watch face or install a 3rd party's watch face - what you get "out of the box" is what you'll be stuck with. Furthermore, the Fitbit community has been complaining about this for years since the Charge 5, so I doubt Fitbit will ever open up more watch faces for their customers.
