Showed up broken and made rattling noises
Purchased a used “like new” Acaia Pearl S from this buyer and when the item showed up it looked great but when I took it out of the box there was a lot of rattling noises and I shook it and 2 plastic pieces fell out of the side and now it doesn’t work. The scale doesn’t sit evenly and it leans to one side and will not read anything on it and if it does the numbers on the display just keep moving up and down. it looked “new” but it was totally broken. I returned it.

    Using this at home for pour-overs and I'm very happy with it, looks nice next to my matte white electric kettle. Pricey for a coffee scale but there aren't any alternatives that I know of that have the flow rate feature.

    In both the Pourover Auto Start and Brewguide modes the Pearl S fails to detect the first several seconds of the pour. This results in a large degree of inaccuracy as you end up pouring more water over the grounds than needed. Very disappointing, especially at that price point.
