Fingerprint read quit working after driver update
I enjoyed the convenience of the fingerprint reader, but after the last ASUS device driver, the fingerprint scanner no longer works.After much research, I found that Windows no longer detects the presence of the fingerprint reader. I also checked MyAsus and found a recent touchpad device driver update. There is no option to revert the driver version.I called ASUS support, and they told me that since I am out of warranty, they can not help e and I should use the web tools (been there, done that). ASUS had no interest in fixing their bad device driver.Next time I'll go back to buying Dell. Their customer service would have been interested in a device driver failure.
