Great place. Very "funky" decor and maybe not our personal style, but our stay was great. The staff was super friendly. The room was above the bar, so was initially concerned about noise but bar closed early and place was very quiet. Location is outstanding. Would definitely stay again.

I loved how close we were to everything in Stowe. There never seemed to be anyone at the desk but the after hours check in and check out worked fine. Only thing I would change is the rug in my room 207 was not clean and should be replaced.

Things I enjoyed: It was easy to communicate with the staff without having to visit the front desk. All of the staff were very nice when I did have to interact. Appreciated the breakfast in the morning. It was delicious. Rooms were cozy and the beds were comfortable. The location was great, food was tasty and there was a lot of other choices within walking distance. I loved the hot cider in the caraffe after coffee time. A great treat to come back to after being outside all day and being cold. Loved the seating in the lobby. For the price of the surrounding hotels for the weekend, the field guide lodge was a great value. Other things: There wasn't much that I didn't enjoy. WIsh the bar area was open longer, but I get it if there isn't enough activity to support later hours...Wasn't clear on how to book the hot tub, so I missed out on that. We had a great stay. Thank you.
