This bracket is aptly named, as it is definitely a "beast".
Cons:
- It's heavy. It takes at least two people to install, three is better.
- If you are installing it in brick or concrete, forget about using the supplied plastic anchors. They broke off while trying to hammer them into place. I used sleeve anchors, which are better anyway. The only issue was that once I installed the anchors, I had to slightly modify the slot openings to accommodate the larger stud size. A Dremel made this easy.
Pros:
- A full-size cardboard template is included, making it easy for planning where you will install the unit and placement of the anchors.
- The instruction booklet is well written and includes detailed diagrams and clear instruction steps.
- Hardware is supplied for any contingency as far as type of TV mount, etc.
- Heavy means sturdy. When you pull a heavy TV (mine weighs 70 lbs.) away from the wall to change the viewing angle, there is no noticeable sag whatsoever.
- The unit allows for adjusting the tilt and horizontal position of the TV to accommodate any variations in installation.
