Product Description

Make excellent espresso with the Diletta Mio Espresso Machine. Tailored for energy efficiency without sacrificing in-cup quality, the Mio makes standout espresso thanks to its PID equipped single boiler, while a separate steam circuit offers easy work when milk drinks are a must. Quick access to temperature controls, shot times, and brew pressure lets you set up the Mio for bright single origins or traditional comfort blends alike.
Espresso Quality
The Mio features a compact brew boiler and relatively large heating element for quick intrashot recovery.
Sustainably-Focused
Low energy costs and energy saving modes help lower the machine’s electrical footprint.
58mm
Industry-standard 58mm group components and portafilter make basket prep and extra accessories easy to manage.
Energy Efficient
A sized-just-right brew boiler offers enough heatsink for stability without requiring excess energy to keep at brewing temperatures

Espresso Quality
- PID-controlled brew temperatures offer accurate heat management and precise to-the-degree control.
- A short water path from boiler to portafilter ensures minimal heat loss.
- The PID screen doubles as a shot timer for consistent in-cup results.
- Manual push-button controls encourage extra attention to your in-cup quality.

Energy Efficient
- The boiler is built directly into the group to reduce heat loss along the water path.
- An insulating boiler wrap improves temperature stability with less heat loss to the air.
- Precise PID temperature management brings even more consistency and saves power compared to basic thermostats.
- The steam circuit is run on a selectable, isolated circuit. That means no energy is wasted on steam pressure unless it's needed.
- We chose a thermoblock steam design for a lower static energy cost than a dedicated service boiler.
- An optional energy saver mode (set in 10 minute increments up to 2 hours) makes it easy to set your machine’s uptime just for your home espresso needs
New to home espresso?
Make sure you've got a coffee grinder to pair with this machine! The Diletta Bello uses cafe-style non pressurized portafilter baskets, which means you'll want fine, powdery coffee grounds to use with it. We recommend purchasing a dedicated espresso grinder to be sure that you'll be able to get the most out of your new Diletta Bello!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2023Totally worth the money. Been using the it for about 6 months now, every day and love it. It did take me a little bit to figure out how to use it, but totally worth it and saved me tons of money of going to the coffee shop and now I make my coffee exactly how I like it. You can make hot drinks and cold drinks with it. And the espresso works great on it. My hard part has been finding espresso beans that I like !!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2022I think that I may have been sent the exact machine that an earlier reviewer was sent because my problems and, if I took pictures, would be identical - and their review was posted just a little over two weeks earlier. So I am going to quote that person's review "The PID display and control buttons are inaccessible. See photo. The buttons are supposed to stick out from the panel, but instead, they appear to be recessed and can't be used without a tool. The display is also pushed back and can't be easily read. The biggest problem however, is that the boiler won't fill using the "1st Time Use" procedure. I tried resetting the startup default process several times, and each time, the boiler would not fill. Seattle Coffee Gear Customer Service did not answer the phone after 15 minutes on hold. Also, there is a single "Quick Start Instruction" page included in the box, but the initial start up instructions don't match what is in the full manual. The full manual appears to have the correct instructions, but neither process worked." I am super disappointed and will not likely shop an item like this on Amazon again or shop at Seattle Coffee. It seems to me very shady to send the same machine out twice with the exact same problem and not even review it.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2023Edit:
Since posting the review below, SCG were kind enough to explain that there was a manufacturing issue at their factory that (partially drained boilers were freezing in shipment) has since been caught due to recent reviews, and the defective machines have been identified and removed from stock. They offered a full refund, and were extremely kind, caring, and informative. I had issues with my machines, but I trust that the common issue has been resolved. Great company who stands by their service, even if some bumps happen along the way. Great machine, great company.
Original review:
I have now purchased two of these machines within a single month from Seattle Coffee Gear, and both failed. First machine worked fantastically, and made incredibly tasty espresso! Unfortunately, its steam thermoblock failed in under a month. Seattle Coffee Gear was kind enough to recommend that I return it for a replacement. No biggie, stuff happens.
The replacement machine arrived covered in water from the inside (external box was dry, but inside of the machine and its box were very wet). Couldn't even get past the setup stage, because water flows outside of the group and down the face of the machine, rather than through the group head. Extremely frustrated in the machine’s reliability. Both machines came with an inspection sheet, but those don't seem to mean much. I was under the impression that this was a great machine, but 2 rounds of $1,300 a pop... yikes.
4.0 out of 5 starsEdit:Edit: A Few Production Hiccups, But Overall Great Product and Great Customer Service

- Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2022Did lots of research and everything came back to this. This is commercial grade and exactly what coffee shops use to these specs. Just mini sized. The ten thousand dollar ones at my local shops don’t have a grinder so why would I think mines better then there’s if it has one? My brother has a eight hundred dollar one with a grinder, but the machine is plastic and I’m positive it’s not going to last as long as this. Also I spend $3500 a year at coffee shops, so this thing pays for itself easy.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2023I bought my machine and paid over $ 1300$ for what I thought was a quality product it’s a beauty and I loved while it worked
Less than 3 months later it stopped working
the folks at Seattle Coffee gear told me to ship it back for repairs under warranty
Two weeks After I shipped I inquired to the status of my espresso machine repairs They claimed it was damaged when I shipped it back even though it was shipped back FDX packed carefully in its original box
I had no choice but to agreed to pay for the slight damage from shipping repair
then a week later while still waiting for my machine I was told that the warranty repair time is running 4 to 6 weeks due to heavy back load of repair claims ??
Needless to say I am disappointed with the quality of the machine and by the repair service from Seattle
I may need to contact Amazon or Visa to get help to get a refund or a replacement.
Update
they agree to fix it faster and rushed it back
it arrived a week later with a new problem the PID not working
I shipped it back and am awaiting for the agreed upon refund
