Good helmet, good fit, a small quality issue
This helmet is designed very well. Although it's a weird shaped takes some getting used to, the design is actually practical. The chin bar is enough to do the job without blocking too much visibility and breathability. The visor is in the right spot for clarity and lack of reflection. So, overall, the relationship between the visor and chin bar are strange looking, they actually function very well. Similarly, the weird looking ear holes look funny from outside, but they allow sound into your ear while still being surrounded by structure that protects your head. Odd looking, good function. I like the rub atone coating on the surface. It's easy to clean and cuts down on noise. The chin strap is the average plastic chin strap, nothing special, but it works. The liner seems good. Not as comfy as a Bern winter helmet liner, but not crusty styrofoam like some cheaper helmets. It's similar to motorcycle helmet lining, but thinner and near the low cost end of that product. It works for me as I Eskate and only wear the helmet for 60-90 minutes at a time. I also don't sweat as much as a mountain bike rider. The issue, and the reason for the 4 stars instead of five, is that the T shaped adjustment mechanism keeps, on the center/upper leg, popping out of its retention hole. It's very annoying. Overall though, I like the helmet and will continue using it as my primary helmet for Eskate. I prefer my Bern helmets for the skateboard park.

Nice helmet, poor customer service
Overall the helmet is great but arrived with a minor Velcro issue. Have reached out through their suggested info@... email three times without any response. I actually emailed them with a question when considering (before ordering) the helmet and never received a response then either. :( I was going to recommend this helmet to others or buy more Beam products but now I'm having second thoughts.

Harness that snaps into the rear of the helmet comes off easily and velcro for padding can move so be careful donning and doffing helmet

Great visibility and awareness but buckle needs improvement
Great helmet for biking as well as esk8 (electric skateboarding) and OneWheel. Offers great visibility and ventilation. So affords great situational awareness because hearing is not impeded. My only problem is that the position of the clasp is awkwardly placed. It’s a bit too close to the helmet’s edge and I have to fiddle quite a bit to work the clasp. They really should have used a magnetic Fidlock. Also, I would really like them to start carrying the winter weather EarPods; they’re available on the European website but not in the USA website for some reason.

Absolutely fantastic helmet!
