I was reluctant to spend $700 on a recovery system - I'm an intermediate level speedskater and this seemed like something that pros or the Olympic team would use. I saw it in an interview with Maame Biney a year or so ago. She had it on while doing theinterview. I was curious for the longest time, and finally took the plunge and plunked down the cash. Was able to use HSA money so that was a plus.
Yep, it's worth it. This isn't some department store "massager". I have the controller set on 5 out of 7 for the intensity, and it SQUEEZES the legs. HARD. Setup and use were very easy, everything just clips together, and unclips for storage.
You can't move around while using it, and have to keep your legs straight, so after my training sessions I generally get on the couch, set this to 60 minutes, and watch TV.
Effects are undeniable. As of yesterday, I've done seven on-ice training sessions in five days. Recovery has been fantastic, and my legs feel fresh getting on the ice. I plan on using this for biking in summer once speedskating season is over
