Summer nights in the alpine can get chilly and shoulder season sleeping is reliably brisk, but Marmot's Never Winter 30-Degree Down Sleeping Bag keeps us warm through all our spring, summer, and fall adventures. Not only is it packed full of 650-fill down that's been treated with a water-repellent Down Defender treatment, but Marmot made the shell from tough and lightweight nylon that's been treated with a DWR coating to keep tent condensation and spindrift at bay. The Nautilus multi-baffle hood and anatomic wrap-around footbox trap warmth in key places, while the ground-level side seams prevent heat from escaping and cold from creeping in through the floor. Marmot also hooked up a snag-less draft tube to stop cold from sneaking in through the zipper and included an internal pocket for stashing a midnight snack or headlamp.

Great quality, lots of features, and plenty warm.
I have some more expensive bags, but the quality is just as good but nearly half the cost. Those are a bit lighter, but also not as durable, so there is a tradeoff, but you can't get better quality by spending more just less weight. I love all the extra thoughtful features. Twin zippers, pockets, snag free zipper etc. I've slept in this down to 15F on Shasta paired with a down puffy and hat, and was plenty warm. Down to 40 it was perfect with no base layers. Not the lightest bag in the world, but the durability and functionality are worth the few extra ounces to me on most trips.

Nice Summer bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good quick delivery. It appears to be very good quality. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet since we still have snow on the ground here in northern Michigan. I really like the light weight, no snag zipper, and water resistant down. It seems a little thin for a 30 degree bag but I will be using it for summer bag anyway so I don't think I will get cold.

Summer value bag +/-
Capable light weight bag with a couple of value features; down waterproofing treatment and generous mummy dimensions. Maybe under-gunned for alpine climbing or backpacking during the shoulder seasons. We shall see.

Great so far...
This should be the perfect complement to my "never summer bag" Light, warm enough but not too hot...unfortunately all my backpacking trips this summer were canceled by the fires in CA, so just tested in once car camping along the coast. Good craftsmanship, nice feel, zippers work well.

Good qualtiy but wrong temp.rating
I think the build quality is good but the temp.rating is far off! Cold in 10 degrees celsius. Always freezing in this bag :( Good for indoor or very warm summer.
