sliced off about a half dime size patch of skin just to the third skin layer in some spots, not to bone or anything. these were absolute LIFESAVERS, some of the earlier pictures (this is over about 10 days or so) are with larger versions of these but they both worked great.
I needed to change them once a day for the first two days but after that it seemed fine and I've used the same smaller one for like 4 days now. I have never cut off so much skin at once yet it was one of the least painful cuts to heal I've ever had. these bandages are just amazing.
you can use your finger, you can wash your hands and shower and you dont have to peel off a painful scab accidentally when you have to change them. my cut never really scabbed up, which I think is the point, so it never really hurt to move.
considering how long these last they do the work of like 5 normal bandages a piece. definitely worth the money. I usually just glue deep cuts closed, but for big open scrapes or cuts this is just the best option.
