Clif Builders Bars are the best high protein bars out there. They taste sweet but are actually low glycemic because the protein plus fat content equals or is less than the carb content. I think they'd be even better with fewer carbs. Depending on how often you eat them, they're great for increased energy, muscle building, losing weight or even gaining weight. And they're wonderful as travel snacks or meals.

This particular 12 pack is the best value I've found. They're getting increasingly hard to find, and I'm worried that Clif may be discontinuing some of the flavors but hope not the entire Builder Bars series. I also like the Vanilla Almond flavor, although it tends to crumble a bit and be messy.
