If you thought you were going to power your new floodlight camera this way, think again. The Blink floodlight requires 4 D cell batteries and plugs into the camera to facilitate triggering of the lights during motion detection events, but has no USB port of its own, meaning you can't even use this to power the camera attached to the floodlight.

Think about your use case for your Blink camera before purchasing this. It may be unnecessary and may complicate installation. I purchased the weather resistant adapters thinking that it would add extra protection for the camera. It does nothing for the camera itself, and the camera is already weather resistant. (In fairness, I should have taken more time reading about it first).

The only case where this item would be useful is if you are plugging into power outside (into an outside outlet with a cover, of course). The USB power transformer would need to be weather resistant in that scenario. However, if you are mounting the camera under a soffit, for example, but feeding the low-voltage cable through to inside the house, this product complicates that because the feed-thru hole would have to be much larger to accommodate the right-angle USB-C plug or the power plug. You would be better off using the cable that comes with the camera, and adding a little bit of silicon around where the plug enters the camera to seal it. The weather resistant cable has a few little rubbery fins to help seal the connection, but I found that makes it difficult to tell when the plug is fully seated.
