This hotel is for corporate conferences and all the amenities are geared to that, I stayed in the Horsely Towers part which is a quite a walk from the main building or in the rain you would need to drive up there. Reception and restaurant are all down with the main hotel, so if you want convenience of walking into a hotel and no hassle, thats not the case here. The Towers bedroom is lovely, but its a pain having to take your car in bad weather to the restaurant and back up to the room after. Beware the front entrance, it is frequently washed and wet on slippery tiles.

Although it says Leatherhead, i did not go near there.
Although it says Leatherhead, i did not go near there. I was in Horsley and walked as far as Polesden Lacey, also went twice to the Grange Park Opera (the purpose of my visit). Having lived in Leatherhead for two years in the late 1990s, i had no interest in going to that town and being on public transport during a weekend limited how far I could travel anyway.
There are many National trust properties nearby and lovely walks in the Surrey Hills.
If i had stayed longer, i might have gone to visit Denbighs Vineyard again as it is over 25 years since I was last there.

This is a quiet Surrey town in an area of natural beauty, with lots of countryside around, walks and places to visit. It's also close to London, to Gatwick and Heathrow, and easy access to the M25 and other major road networks.
Free parking. Cheerful staff - arranged to send back something I had left without any fuss. Directed us to a very good local pub for food when we decided the hotel restaurant wasn't suitable (see below). Comfortable rooms (apart from the air con not working and there being a plug in radiator in the room).
It's a lovely and spacious apartment, well appointment and worked very well for the 10 days with 4 adults. It's got a great view, near the station and the mall and was perfect as a base. We got a lot of information and it was easy to get hold of them
This is a big hotel with a corporate feel - I imagine it caters for large company events - and was rather characterless, despite the country estate appearance. So although everything was clean and worked, it wasn't what we were looking for.
Second stay at this hotel. This time in the towers, not the new section of the hotel. Fantastic room. Huge bed. Very nicely furnished room. Really lovely welcome at reception for check in.
Horsley estate was beautiful and it was in a great location to cycle to and from. We liked that the hotel had a few sports facilities and had some sports equipment available to use.
The restaurant for evening meal was a ‘canteen’ at best and next to no choice and awful service. Room was good and hotel tidy but spoilt by restaurant.
