Terrible design-- catches/rips hair in plastic seam
I had a GHD straightening iron for almost 10 years that I love, decided to upgrade on Prime Days when this one was on sale. Big mistake. This iron would be fine, the heating element works well, but my fine hair gets caught in the seam between the plate portion of the iron and the handle-- it's near impossible to get out and even if you can methodically do that, it damages the strands stuck in the plastic. If you're super careful or do really small sections of hair at a time this issue can be avoided, but I've got two little kids and work full-time so I am always just rushing to get myself presentable! Unfortunately, missed the return window on this because I was wearing my hair curly in the summer. Don't make the same mistake I did. I see a few others on here had the same issue, I don't understand how others haven't pulled chunks of hair out, too! This needs to be discontinued.
