Kosaya Gora ("oblique mountain") is a collaboration between Russian indie electronic artists Kedr Livanskiy and Flaty. Though both artists have frequently worked together for years, their music as Kosaya Gora is a departure from their more danceable material. Their full-length debut, 2023's Kosogor, explores haunted folk, gloomy trip-hop, and ethereal dream pop, among other sounds.

Kedr Livanskiy (Yana Kedrina) and Flaty (Evgenii Fadeev) have both been active as D.I.Y. artists and musicians since the mid-2010s. Flaty produced the entirety of Livanskiy's 2019 album Your Need and made an appearance on 2021's Liminal Soul. During 2020 and 2021, the two began experimenting on material without a specific idea, and the results ended up closer to psychedelic folk and lo-fi dream pop than Livanskiy's more house-influenced releases. The two traveled to remote villages in a mobile studio, recording music along the way. Their debut album, Kosogor, was released by 2MR in 2023. ~ Paul Simpson
