Lighter color then expected, STILL the same awesome formula
I absolutely LOVE lip products of ALL kinds & lip stains happen to be 1 of my top favs & preference over a liquid matte lipstick! For me, I KNOW I'm going to HAVE TO REAPPLY, NO MATTER THE BRAND & I'm ok with that! It's just a personal preference, I'm not able to work anymore, so I don't necessarily need it to last for more than a couple/few hours! I drink, snack & smoke throughout the day, so I personally need a semi-lasting, moisturizing & comfy formula with many choices to choose from! That's why THIS brand has 1 of my favorite formulas & colors! This formula is super comfy! I don't ever feel it on my lips! I LOVEEE lip stains because I can keep the look as I want it, either straight from the product with nothing else added or I can add a lip gloss-clear, colored, holographic, glitter or a lip topper! No matter what, it's beautiful! Value is excellent, as well as the entire product line! And they have so MANY different colors, ALL of which are absolutely gorgeous in their own right! As I purchase more, I will definitely do more reviews with a swatch of the color(s)OVERALL, a 4/5: ONLY minus 1 star because of personal preference (color is basically the exact SAME color as my own lips, even though I thought it definitely looked MORE darker in the picture & even in my pics) & purchasing online as opposed to in person & the ability to swatch! I thought THIS particular color was going to look more "pink", brighter, NOT a bright pink, but not such a neutral color either! I just honestly didn't think it was going to be THAT neutral! But, with my Thrive Cosmetics Lip Liner in brown (or any color for that matter) worn underneath this color, it DEFINITELY makes it work! I can also add any lip gloss or topper or even a creamy, moisturizing bullet lipstick as well to either change the color or finish! Overall, I do recommend this product & brand! Beautiful range of colors & comfortable formula!

I’ve been eyeing these lip tints for some time and now that I needed a particular color for a cosplay I decided to finally give them a try. I got Well-Made Nude and it’s exactly the color I was looking for - it’s kind of a pinky coral nude situation. Very flattering on, even given that I have cool undertones. And I absolutely love the texture/finish! It really does feel velvety and doesn’t feel drying like most matte liquid lip colors. It truly feels amazing on and you can forget you’re wearing a lip color once it dries down. However, it does not last and is not transfer-proof. It came off onto my cup every time I took a drink, and eating even a non-greasy meal totally wiped it all away. And I tried all the “right” things - exfoliate lips, wipe clean, lip primer, fill lips with lip liner, apply tint, and then press translucent setting powder on top. I think I’ll be looking for another product because I need staying power for a con. Too bad because I really do love it otherwise.
For those complaining it doesn’t look as sheer/ombré as in the product photos: it depends on how you apply. If you put it on just like you would a normal liquid lipstick it will give a full coverage effect. If you want the gradient effect, here’s what you do (it’s easy and takes 20 seconds max, even though there are a few steps):
1. Apply color only to the insides of your lips, closest to your mouth. Apply as much or as little color as you want, it’s buildable.
2. Gently rub your lips together.
3. To ensure a nicely blended gradient effect, use your pinky finger or a small blending brush to tap the place where your lip color meets your natural lips until it looks blended and blurred.
4. Optional - for an even more dramatic gradient effect, take some concealer that matches your skin tone around your mouth, dab it onto your pinky finger or small blending brush, and gently tap onto the edges of your lips until blended seamlessly in with the lip tint.
