Prior to purchasing an iPhone 16 Pro Max, I regularly purchased cellphone protectors from a competitor of Zagg’s. The protector the competitor made for the new phone fails to protect around the side camera button and no longer has prominent lips along the edges of the screen, leading me to research protectors that protect the entire phone - thus, Zagg. I would like to see more prominent lips along the edges of the screen, to protect the screen should it fall face down against asphalt (it happens), as well as a holster to secure it to my belt (and add protection to the screen). However, this case feels like I can hold the phone securely in hand and facilitates a secure MagSafe connection for charging or holding the phone in the car. The phone with Zagg protector fits comfortably in a shirt pocket, which is likely more secure than a holster on the belt but not all shirts (or blouses) have pockets. Again, a holster would protect the screen when put into a purse. Until a manufacturer produces a protector that has prominent edges along the screen and includes a holster, I will use this product… and hope Zagg modifies their construction to make this protector truly spectacular. Until then, this is the finest protector I purchased or handled for use on an iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Got this case for my husband after we upgraded our iPhone 14 Pro Maxes to 16 Pro Maxes. He needs a very sturdy case, and prefers it to NOT be decorative. This brand usually gets good reviews, and we have used other products made by them.

The screen protectors we bought use a plastic frame to get them placed in the correct location, so we couldn’t install it after the case was in place. Pressing the phone into place in the case after installing the screen protector caused the protector to pop off. Didn’t seem to be any way around this issue, so we returned the case and got one that did not pop te screen protector off.

I like ZAGG, they have been around for a while in the smartphone space and always have products for new devices. And this case is okay. But at the price point, it is just okay. It is lacking some features I expect to see that this price point.

The case itself is made of a durable plastic. It has a micro texture for grip as well as ridges on the back and sides for additional hold. Although it has a nice hand feel, it still slips easily in and out of a pocket without feeling likes its catching. There's a nice little kickstand on the back that sits nice and flat and is easy to extend for hold your screen up when sitting on its edge in landscape mode.

The buttons are partially attached to the frame, but the buttons retain some clickyness instead of feeling squishy like some rubber cases. I would liked to have seen close to free floating feeling buttons.

The front top and bottom edges are slightly raised even more than the edges. So even with a tempered glass screen protector, the screen didn't touch the table when place face down. There is also a bit of clearance on the back lip protecting the camera array.

The bottom has right sized cutouts for the speakers and charging port. I had no problem getting a charging cable that came with the phone or an after market one from a popular "A" brand to fit.

Now the bad. The case itself is a single piece. Many cases have a dual layer technology to provide rigidity as well as cushion in addition to air gaps in the corners for further shock absorption. The interior of the case is just a hard plastic. There is no soft layer to protect your device.

Again, this is stuff not listed in description so that's fair. Overall this is a decent case. I just expect more in this price bracket where "premium" cases exist.

My first impressions of this case are very good. The protection it offers is very impressive the moment you slide your phone into it. The fit reminds me of the likes of the Rhinoshield cases that I have used in the past which is excellent with no looseness or flex. The case is grippy and I love the added rugged kickstand at the back.

The negative for me is the eye watering price. When I compare this to the offerings from the likes of Spigen and Ringke I can’t justify the price being soo high. I am happy to pay it for the peace of mind but if you happen to be on a budget I would look into alternative solutions.

Overall I am very happy with this case but it is very expensive for what it is.
