I love how easy this was to use. I also love that it is dishwasher safe. My last one wasn’t and it was a pain to clean. It has several settings and you change them by pushing the arrows on the base. The one thing I didn’t love was that the pieces inside aren’t secure. When you go to pour the milk, the pieces try to slide out. It’s metal, so it’s too hot to just remove. Makes a perfect froth for the top of any drink. Has option for cold froth as well. I would recommend this to any coffee lover.

    This frother was initially great but died, of course, just outside of the 1 year warranty window. I am not sure why this would have happened, but would expect something like this to last far longer than a year.

    Had to search long and hard to come across this one but what a find! We've been through a few of these with marginal performance/design but this product stands out. Granted it's made in China but I guarantee it was designed in Germany. If it last a year it was worth every penny. Great performance and design! Controls, cleanup, function, product, and ease-of-use are all exceptional.

    After throwing out 4 Capresso frothers over the years, we are hoping the Melitta lasts longer than a year. So far, the froth - even for unsweetened Almond Milk is amazing. The best I've been able to make at home. However, the design is surprising in that there is a thin rod with a triangular bottom that is threaded on top for no reason, that sits in the cup. The frothing disk has a hole in the center so that it can be slide down the device to rest on the bottom of the cup. This works fantastic to produce thick froth, but you cannot pour the milk out until you first remove the entire frothing mechanism. Then make sure it doesn't drip on counters or floors before immediately washing it off, and be careful not to lose the small disk. The latter warning is echoed in the instruction manual. Very inconvenient, but since I've only had Capresso's previously, perhaps this is the typicall design? Functionally, it froths perfectly so far. We will keep this and deal with the clean-up and management of small parts. That's how impressive the froth is -- you can stand a spoon up in it.

    This is my second frother, the first one died after just a few months of very little use.

    In comparison, this frother, right out the box yells quality! Everything about it justifies the purchase price, based on its appearance.

    In use, unfortunately, it’s not fast in heating up the milk, at all. It’s going to take like 5-7 minutes with whole milk right out of the refrigerator. There must be a heat timer that shuts off the operation when it’s done, which does not make the milk hot, it's more on the warmer side. I do find myself running the process a couple of times to attempt to bring the heat up. I may need to preheat the milk in the microwave to get the desired temperature.

    So, if you’re not in a rush, like a lazy Sunday, not a busy Monday… This may be right for you. Just be aware, that you will be able to prepare an entire breakfast, eggs and all, by the time you're able to make your Latte!
