It works but not necessarily easier

It works but not necessarily easier
This stuff definitely sticks to properly prepared walls, and it did great with my 3x12” subway tiles. I left them ungrouted overnight and not a single one moved. Now that the grout’s up, those tiles aren’t going anywhere. That said, I’ll probably go with traditional mortar next time. Yes, it’s messier but you (a) don’t have to panic about grouting within 24 hours if you’re exhausted; and (b) you can face-level tiles by adding mortar as needed if your walls aren’t perfectly flat — and most aren’t. With the mat, there’s no give at all, so anywhere the wall bows out or curves in, so does the tile.It would be great for niches, accents, and floors though!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for tiling small spaces
Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2020
We used this product to install tile backsplash near our stove. The small area and tiny herringbone tile pattern are a perfect use of this type of tile adhesive product. Traditional tile mud application has its place, under cabinet tile backsplash in the kitchen is perfect for musselbound tile adhesive. No mess. Even, flat tile installation.
We followed the directions and watched a video explaining use on YouTube. It’s been 3 months and still looks great. We are confident in the adhesive quality of this product and will be using it in the installation of tile on a bath wall behind the sink.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lesson learned, doesn’t stick everywhere.
Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2022
I’ve tiled before and decided yo try this product. Cleaned the walls before hand and let them full dry. Applied the product around the walls for a backsplash and used a float to get out any air bubbles. A couple days later started noticing spots not sticking, you could just see them peeling away from the wall. Cut those spots out and cleaned again. Waited and applied, some worked some didn’t. Super glued the spots that still did not stick and applied a new layer. Figured I’d try the tile sheets since there’s no way a third layer isn’t sticking. Well some of it that was “stuck” to the walls apparently wasn’t very stuck and within 2 days before I could grout it already started falling off the walls. Tiles also fell off. Honestly great idea of a product, terrible execution, wish I would have just listened to reviews. I’d probably have better luck just super glueing tiles straight to the wall

I thought maybe we had a roll from a bad lot, but I bought a second and third roll at different locations and still the same results.
