Extremely handy in the right spot.KristinaThis table is sturdy, convenient and nice looking. I have one installed in a narrow hallway next to a closet that contains a stacked washer dryer. I use it to fold laundry right out of the dryer.
I have another in a small guest room. It is on a wall with 2 small matching chairs. Convenient for guests. I highly recommend. Needs to be installed in at least 2 studs.
Looks nice but needs more wall supportJosephI like this idea for a table to extend my work from home desk but in its cold away form it hands to heavy on its wall supports. It should have a larger wall plate with 6 skrews offset. Like 2 triangles to distribute the weight better. I am going to need to add in a piece of wood to brace the unit better.

Almost perfect!JenniferI bought this to use as a wall mounted desk for working at home. I needed it to fit into a very particular place. I tried another desk with cantilever legs and I hated it, so I went with option number 2: the Bjursta.
I read the reviews from folks who mentioned that the spacing for the bracket holes didn’t match up to their wall studs and indeed they don’t: the center column holes are 14” from either of the outer bracket holes, and the inner bracket hole is just under 10” from the outer one, so I drilled additional holes to fasten the table to two studs and used heavy duty drywall anchors for the rest of them. I wouldn’t stand on it, but it’s on there pretty good.
Since the Bjursta is only available in espresso, I painted it with white and orange enamel to match the rest of my Ikea stuff, and I’m really happy with it.
The only issue is that the center support ended up a bit low so it wasn’t perfectly level. Nbd, I added an adhesive rubber bumper to balance it out.

High quality compact tablePaigeOur current 2 seater kitchen table made it difficult to entertain guests without pulling out an ugly, large plastic folding table, so this product was perfect for our needs! Highly recommend installing with 2 people, though. The materials are high-quality and heavy. The 6 wall-mounting screws you need do not come in the box, but we used a kit from the hardware store of drywall anchors and screws that worked perfectly. Once the leaf is extended open, the corners of the table can bend downwards with some pressure, but I think it should be fine for normal dining purposes.

Not very sturdy to wallBelyndaNot very sturdy to wall as the top mounting plate holes are not measured to line up at all with any beams to make it solid to wall which is the main support for this unit so deff not made for anything heavier than plate of food. That's for sure.
