Lightweight Bag
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I have the Bishop's Pass 15 deg bag aswell, but it is too hot at 30 degrees as I am a hot sleeper. I got the BP 30 degree bag for a lightweight higher temp bag. Pros: it is well made, nice bag, zipper etc, extremely light and small. Cons: it has very little stuffing, plan to wear long underwear if it's 30s out. They need to make like a Bishop Pass 20deg, to cut the difference between the 15 and 30. My wife sleeps cold and she likes the 15 degree bag for 3 seasons

a total bummer
This bag has been a huge disappointment. The temperature rating is WAY off - I'd put it at more of a 45 degree bag, if that. I've used it several times in above freezing temperatures (in the 35-40 degree range) and have been very cold every time, particularly in my feet, even with full wool socks and sock liners on. Also, I get that it's a mummy bag, but it's so skinny that when you rotate on your side, the bag rotates with you instead of staying flat on the sleeping pad. This throws off the hood compartment and puts your pillow in a wonky position if you sleep on your side. I'm 6.0' tall and 180 lbs w/ broad shoulders and this feels like I'm sleeping in a straightjacket. The positives are that it's lightweight, squishes down to a small volume, and is generally well-made. Other than that, it's poorly designed and absolutely does not live up to its temperature rating. If I could return it I would.

Warmth is just ok.
Even though it is rated 30 degrees, I was cold at 38'. I had to use a cocoon and wear long johns and a long sleeve top. Toe box is not warm at all. Packs small.

Great bag for cool temps
Well built bag. Perfect for cool temp camping or backpacking. Love the subtle details like form-fitting shape, roomy toe box, stash pocket & added baffle in the neck area.

Very very good bag
Great bag; just spent 4 Nights with it in Southern Wyoming. I'm 5'11 and 175lbs and it fit great. Plenty of room in the feet box which surprised me. The bag is very light. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars now is I need more time and trips to let it prove its 5 star level.

Runs small, probably a 5 star bag otherwise.
I am 5' 11" and the bag is just past capacity lengthwise. Seems like a good, high quality bag otherwise.
