Love this tent

Great tent
I got my two weeks ago and set it up in the back yard to see what I had. It took me a few minutes longer than it probably should have but I got it up. It is a beautiful piece of kit, well thought out excellent materials. After I took it down and put it in the bag where it fit easily I became more impressed. The next week I set it up at camp for a week. I’m six foot two and had excellent head room, the door height and width made getting me and my gear in and out easy. Overall the tent worked beautifully. I am seventy and have so mobility issues so being able to setup a cot and have a chair was nice. Overall an excellent product.

Could handle a tornado!!!
This tent is very easy to set up and very sturdy! Very well built and great ventilation. The amount of mesh is perfect for viewing the scenery. This tent will last years with this fabric. Very high-quality! We did use the universal footprint. I feel like that is a great addition and adds more durability. Very high marks!

Haven't taken it camping but set it up already
I got to put it up in our backyard as a tester - we purchased it at the end of the camping season. I was able to put it up on my own while watching my one year old crawl around and slow down my progress. It was as easy to put up as our Mtn Hardware tent that we've been using for the last XX years. I've been looking for a freestanding 6 person tent with the easy of assembly and durability of our 2.5 person backcountry tent. This is the tent.

Good tent but colour variation and poor fly fit
My tent arrived with a grey blue colour fly rather than the greener colour in the pictures and no matter how much I tried setting up the tent and adjusting the tension in the guys and corners, the poles do not bear onto the reinforced areas of the fly. I assume there is a stitching pattern issue between the manufacturing of the inner and fly. I have contacted MSR and received the response that there is "nothing they can do about the colour variant" and I should "adjust the guy lines to better align the tent".

The perfect front country camping tent!
I was recently given this tent by MSR to use and review and so far, we've been out in it twice and it's been absolutely amazing. We are used to tenting in our MSR Hubba Hubba (2 person backpacking tent), so to have a tent this size was such a luxury. We slept two adults, 1 8 month old baby, and 2 30ish lb dogs and had so much room. It was so nice to be able to completely stand up inside (makes it easy to stand and rock that baby to sleep)! There was enough room that if we wanted to bring her pack and play along, we could. Or even bring a dog kennel or two if you needed to! I look forward to using this tent for years and years to come. 10/10 recommend for family camping!
