these are PERFECT for dinner parties and bringing food to and from. glassware is heavy (and scary) to bring and with this carrier i've had no problems, although i will say i'm a petite girl and sometimes trying to balance both straps on my shoulders can get annoying, but it's probably the best you'll get with any carrier so that the food stays upright. can't speak to durability yet, only have used it a few times so far.
it fits perfectly with the casserole dish i have + i've legit got so many compliments on it. so glad i got this!

Casserole dish must be slightly cooled before putting into the carrier
First, I want to say that this insulated casserole carrier is made well and looks very nice. It feels very durable and should last a long time. I have seen these insulated carriers a lot in the past but never bought one until now so I don't have much to compare it to aside from my own use and observations. Upon initial inspections, looks, and build quality I would have given this 5 stars but after the first use, there are some fundamental issues that made me take away a few stars. The first issue is that the textured exterior is very hard to clean. Inevitably, these types of carriers are going to get food or stains on the outside and I personally feel that they have to be able to clean up easily and be somewhat stainproof. On our first outing, as careful as we were with the carrier, some food brushed up against the exterior and it was a pain to clean and the material still has a slight stain on it. The second issue that I noticed is that after we cleaned the carrier, the interior looked like it had gotten distorted a little. We took the baking dish out of the oven and allowed it to cool for about ten minutes before we put it into the carrier. Even so, the aluminum fabric looks like it had gotten ironed slightly and distorted. The foam inside doesn't feel like it was melted so it looks like its purely a cosmetic change. Functionally, this carrier works well, it is durable and easy to carry and has some pretty good insulation values. Unfortunately as a kitchen accessory, I feel like its ease to clean and keep clean should be just as important. It is very hard to clean these textured surfaces (that are getting more and more popular for the looks) and I don't feel their aesthetic value outweighs it functional value in this type of kitchen accessory so I'm taking away one star.
