The On/Off Cync Smart Plug makes any lamp or device that plugs into a wall outlet smart. The built-in WiFi bridge adds out-of-home control for your lighting and devices and voice control when paired with a voice assistant. The plug also enables scheduling and scene setting to traditional bulbs and devices. The Smart Plug adds smart functionality to fixtures where smart bulbs won't fit or match the look of the fixture. Pair the Smart Plug with Cync or C by GE Smart Bulbs in other fixtures and Cync Smart Switches to control all your lights together. Use the Smart Plug with other devices like curling irons, fans and electronic devices to turn them on or off remotely or schedule them to operate around your routine. The Smart Plug connects directly with Google Home and Amazon Alexa devices (sold separately) - no hub required. Simply plug into a standard wall socket and you're ready to go.

I’ve bought Matter-compatible smart plugs from three different brands. None of them have worked with Apple Home out of the box. In the case of Cync by GE, at least they worked with Apple Home, but only after pairing them with the Cync app then factory resetting each plug. The whole point of Matter is supposed to be not having to download yet another app, but these plugs would not connect via Apple Home at all, until I paired them with the Cync app. I’m taking one star off just for making me download another unwanted app, an app that made me create an account before it would do anything useful.

    Terrible product. I purchased one plug to see how it worked. Set up is clunky with the app, but I finally worked out the scene/schedule thing. The plug worked great! I ordered 3 more plugs and got them all set up followed the exact same method as the first plug and while setup "worked," from the moment I had more than 1 plug, none of them would stay connected to the wifi and working off bluetooth just made every plug disconnect as soon as I left the room. The schedules didn't work and the only way to utilize what was plugged into the plug was to manually use the app to turn on the plug while I was in that room, but as soon as I left the room, the plug turned off.

    Support suggested factory reset and start over. Same results. I thought there might be a problem with the wifi signal, so I manually forced connection to the 2.4ghz. Same results. We were about to upgrade our entire wifi network with new hardware to troubleshoot this issue but then...

    I decided to try the AMAZON SMART PLUG on Prime Day and they have worked absolutely FLAWLESSLY from the moment I swapped out all the Cync plugs. I'll never look back and never purchase another Cync product. The Amazon Smart Plugs work exactly as the Cync plugs *should" but don't. What a waste of time and money!

    I was looking for an electric timer but didn't want to deal with the ticking so I bought these and an adapter. Works great. The only thing I can't get figured out yet is connecting to Google Assistant. It says it is compatible.
