Apparently quality control at the factory was terrible. Bought 3 times and each had a different issue. 
To set up the robot the first time you must install a firmware update via USB cable from your computer. After that, you can use your phone to complete setup.
No other vacuum robot brand can compete with the vacuum performance of Neato. Neato's navigation is also well above average, plus it can vacuum in the dark unlike camera-based robots.

This is awesome! The cleaning power is amazing. I never thought a robot vacuum cleaner would clean better than a regular vacuum cleaner

Excellent little robot

I love Neato. I run them til they die and then get a new one. This is the first Wi-Fi one I have owned. My last one lasted 7 years. Easier to clean the dirt bucket than roomba.

Stay away from Neato. Sent unit in for repairs and the robot would only work for a few months. After 18 months of not being able to repair it, they tell you the warranty is over. They never fixed it. Don't buy Neato
