WHAT IS BED OF NAILS?

The mystical bed of nails originated over 1,000 years ago and was used by ancient gurus in the practice of meditation and healing. Bed of Nails® has created a modern, ergonomically designed version of that ancient technology, with a Swedish twist, to model those same deep healing effects. With thousands of non-toxic recyclable plastic nails, harmless to the skin but with all the healing benefits of its legendary ancestor. Bed of Nails® (BON) brings the self-healing benefits of treatments, such as acupuncture and massage, into the homes and workplaces of people everywhere to create and sustain a healthy lifestyle amid the stresses of our modern world.

WHY MORE NAILS MATTER

Bed of Nails started the global acupressure mat movement back in 2009. Since then, we’ve worked hard to create the most comfortable and practical acupressure products on the market. How? We added more nails and made our products safe for you and for the environment.  Our round nail plates have 42 non-toxic recyclable nails rather than 25 nails like most other brands, stimulating more points with less pressure, making the experience invigorating rather than painful. This makes our products more comfortable to use while giving you more treatment.

HOW DOES BED OF NAILS WORK?

Bed of Nails is an excellent aid in self-treatment that helps stimulate energy in the body. While triggering the body’s innate way of healing itself, it is an effective tool for easing tension and inducing a state of deep relaxation. Bed of Nails acupressure is similar to ancient Indian Accupuncher but it does not penetrate the skin. The pressure of the rounded nails against the skin may help the body release endorphins, the body’s very own “happiness drug” which provides a sense of joy, energy and pain relief, and oxytocin, which makes you calm and relaxed (yes, it is possible to feel energetic and be relaxed at the same time!). Acupressure may alleviate a whole host of pain issues, including chronic neck and back pain, sore muscles and headaches, daily stress and even help you sleepEverybody reacts differently to acupressure, and the effects may even vary from time to time; you may feel sleepy, alert, relaxed, happy and a clearer mind. Acupressure may also help the body rid itself of toxins, so it is important to drink water after using the Bed of Nails.

WHAT IS BED OF NAILS MADE OF?

We have made our products safe for you and for the environment (certified REACH, RoHS). All our products use 100% non-toxic recyclable HIPS plastic. These nails are secured to the fabric with a melting process rather than environmentally damaging glue. With more nails than most other acupressure mats on the market, it allows for more treatment and more comfort. Less nails, not only provide less treatment, it is also a more painful experience as that will provide more bodyweight on each nail.

Our signature BON products use 100% Organic Cotton removable cover with a PU foam insert.

BON ECO

We are committed to the health of our BON Tribe but also to the health of our planet. Over the years we’ve researched and tested, and researched again, to find the most sustainable materials for our acupressure products. Our BON ECO line features sustainable materials that is better for the environment and more luxurious for you.

100% Linen

Did you know linen requires less water to grow than other fabric materials? It’s also stronger when wet, recyclable and biodegradable. Linen is also more hygienic to use as it breathes better, which keeps you cool and dry.

100% Buckwheat Hull

Biodegradable these hulls allow for constant air circulation through the pillow, which keeps you cool and dry. Since the buckwheat hull is springy and doesn’t compress under pressure, it provides a firm, contouring support that supports proper rest of your head and neck positioning and will reduce stress on your neck, head, and spine

100% Coconut Fiber

For more environmentally friendly support, our biodegradable coconut fiber filling gives the mat a heavier, more substantial feel and even more long-lasting strength. It also breathes better and keeps you cool and dry.
