TERRIBLE UPDATE TO A CHAIR THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY AWESOME. RobTHE PADDING IN THE SEAT IS ONLY ONE STEP ABOVE SITTING ON A ROCK. I HAD BOUGHT 6 OF THE BLACK LEATHER VERSIONS OVER THE YEARS AND THE PADDING WAS BETTER ALTHOUGH THEY WENT FLAT AFTER 2 TO 3 YEARS AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. NOW YOU HAVE DONE AWAY WITH LEATHER (PLEATHER) AND ONLY OFFER THE CLOTH VERSION AND THE SEAT PAD IS TERRIBLY THIN AND IS ALMOST NON-EXISTENT AFTER A MONTH. I ONLY WEIGH 210 LBS. THE LUMBAR SUPPORT IS TOO STRONG AND NOT IN A GREAT SPOT AND HURTS MY BACK. THIS WAS NEVER A PROBLEM WITH THE PREVIOUS VERSION. THE PRICE WAS ALWAYS HIGH BEFORE AT AROUND $250 TO $300 FOR THE LEATHER BUT NOW THE QUALITY HAS GONE DOWN AND THE PRICE HAS GONE UP. THIS COMBINATION IS THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF VALUE. THE BASE IS ALSO NOT AS STABLE AS THE OLDER VERSIONS AND HAS MINUTE WOBBLE ALREADY THAT TOOK THE PREVIOUS VERSIONS I BOUGHT ABOUT 3 YEARS TO NOTICE ANY MOVEMENT FROM SIDE TO SIDE ON THE BASE. I DEFINITELY CANNOT RECOMMEND THE CURRENT MARKUS CHAIR.2
Great chairMarkI bought this chair as a replacement for for a chair that I bought at IKEA 15 years ago. It's been a great chair, and helpfully this one will be as well. Easy to assemble, took about 20 minutes once everything was un packed. 5
GREAT Chair, comfortable, stylishJamesWhat an excellent purchase! Very happy with this chair. Super easy to put together, very sturdy & downright comfortable. Seat & back are supportive & while there are no back adjustments, the back is comfortable as it is. Love the look of it, too. Very high quality, well made, rollers are super smooth and SHARP! Highly recommended, high value for money!5
Amazing chair, sad the price got so highTinaI bought this chair almost 8 years ago. It's the best chair ever!!! I did lose a screw in one arm rest but easily replaced. Otherwise it's still in great condition after use of 8 years 40 hours a week, over 16,000 hours of use. My job recently required RTO and after one day in their chairs I decided I needed to buy this one again for my RTO desk... Sadly I bought it for $99 and now it's $289 which is so very sad, triple the price is rough. Not sure I can survive without it but not sure I can put that kind of money to RTO :( 4
Comfortable and QualityCorinneThis chair is very comfortable. It helps support my back and is pretty light weight. I would recommend this purchase to anyone who needs back support. 5
Used to be comfierKatherineI recently rebought this chair as the old one had worn our but this newer model had less cush in the seat. Over all a good chair but just needs more padding in the seat for us boney people.3
Great chair but needs improvement!MichaelThis is a sturdy and comfortable chair....but please replace the cushion with breathable mesh material similar to the back of the chair. After hours of sitting on it, my butt hurts so I have to use a 3rd party seat cushion on top. Please make this chair perfect by adding mesh cushion!3
10 years of solid performanceColinI've been using this chair daily for 10 years! It's a tank. Build quality is perfect. Good comfort. The seat cushion has held up well.5
Comfortable ChairPamelaI am enjoying this chair. It looks nice and is comfortable. I would recommend purchasing this chair. 5
Not the best, but does it's job wellNenadWhen it comes to comfort and ergonomics, the Markus is exceptional. I sit for multiple hours every day at my PC and feel no back pain.
What I do miss from my last chair is a bigger seating cushion. I like to lift my feet up on the chair, but the narrow cushion makes that difficult to do.
Removable arm rests are a blessing and a curse. When watching a video the arm rests provide great comfort. But when I want to get some work done I cannot pull myself all the way in, because the arms are too high for my table, so I have to remove them.
Overall, it does it's job well. You get what you paid for. And get sort of a premium feel with the comfort. But in functionality it falls apart3
Wife likes it. Extra arm rests for purchase?CharlesMy wife seems to like this chair. I have it also. It helps with the lumbar support. Unfortunately with the arm rests being "rubber" my grandkids were over and scratched a piece off of my wife's chair. Are there just the armrests that can be ordered by chance? 5 stars if that is possible.4
Good chairUladzislauVery comfortable5
Comfortable chair but plastic pieces keep dropping offRandyThe chair itself is very comfortable but I keep finding small hard, semi round, black plastic pieces under the chair on the carpet. Afraid it is falling apart!3
Great chair - are spare parts available?MarkLove the chair. Comfortable, good back support, and flexibility. I'm a big guy (6 ft 4 in; 280 lbs) and have had no issues with the chair (I can wheel all over my office!). However, the rubber arm rest is starting to peal back (it's the way I get upu) and would love to purchase replacement arms. Any idea if they are available?5
Great chairNicholasWhat I like most about this chair is the height. You can make it tall enough to feel comfortable for a 6-foot person. 5
Awesome chair AngelBeen looking for a chair for a while , a lot of people use this chair and now I know why , it’s cheap and comfortable /ergonomic5
Back for a second one!DebraI went through several chairs that all did not support my neck and back before finding this chair. I basically sat on all the desk chairs at ikea and this one was by far the most comfortable. It is expensive. But after having it close to a year I can guarantee it is worth it. Coming back today to buy a second one for the home office to replace the $80 POS one my husband bought online. 5
ErgonomicEmreGood price for very good quality and ergonomic design.5
Good back support but poor cushion for meShih KaiThe cushion doesn't support my body well after half year used.2
Headrest was too high - designed for man, not for womenPanI find this chair to be generally good, but it has one major drawback that disappoints me - it seems to be designed based on the height of men rather than women. The headrest is positioned too high, which means only the upper part of my head can lean on it, leaving the lower part of my head entirely unsupported. This results in a very uncomfortable situation, and I cannot recommend it for women in general.2
