Almost perfect
I bought this chair hoping for better ergonomic support than my current kitchen chair. However, I used to own a secret labs gaming chair so I have some reference of what $500 chair can offer.I have a small apartment in NYC, so I needed something high quality while not sacrificing space. This hit the mark on that. The chair is small, comfortable, and great for keeping my back straight. The only downside, and I really don’t get why the chair was designed this way, is the arm rests. You can see on the photo attached, that the top of the arm rest literally slides forwards, sideways, or backwards without a lock feature. So, if I have my forearm resting on the arm rest and I push forward, the arm rest does too. Theres no lock for it. I knocked a star off for that.

Good: Just about everything. Attractive design; easy to assemble; reasonably lightweight; easy to adjust; well-ventilated; comfortable in extended use; good price relative to similar chairs.

Bad: The tops of the armrests move forward and back, left and right, very easily, with no way to lock them in place. More annoying than useful. The recliner allegedly has three settings plus lock. I can find no difference in the settings, all three let the back recline with too little pressure. I ended up locking the back in place.

Bottom line: This replaced a 30-year-old midrange office chair that was on its last legs. Even allowing for age, the difference in adjustability and "sit" is obvious. Plus, this one doesn't creak every time I move. It isn't an Aeron, but it's closer than the one-third-the-price tag would suggest. I'm happy with it. Five stars.

Note: As pictured i've added larger carpet casters (not included) - I'd highly recommend these for carpeted offices to avoid having to deal with the hassle of a chair mat.

I've tried over a dozen different office chairs, and only 2 or 3 have met my expectations - and this is one of them. A few features that I appreciate:
    - The armrests have a good range of motion for height adjustments, some chairs the minimum armrest height is too low. These ones go as low as I want, and they are easy to adjust (which I do when I switch tasks from typing to gaming)
    - The armrests are "free floating" so they move around as your elbows move. Some reviewers complained about this, but I actually like it.
    - The seat height and angle adjustment is good and easy - set it once and forget it.
    - The seat cushion is very comfortable - supportive and firm, but not punishing. I can sit in this chair for 12 hours and not get sore (although I wouldn't want to do that often)
    - The only part I'm not in love with is the back adjustment. It has 3 adjustments for how much tension on the recline function. I'd prefer the infinitely adjustable, or at least more intermediate settings. I've settled on the middle setting, but it still feels maybe 10% too firm, while the loose setting is WAY to unsupportive.

Overall very happy - one of the best office chairs I've owned to date. And for the price, as far as premium office chairs go, it's a good value.

I have had this chair for about 6 months now. One of the things that is a must in a chair for me is NO ergonomic support. For whatever reason, all those "ergonomic" chairs that push into your low back destroy me and literally make it so its painful to walk afterwards. My body is weird.

The good news is, this chair works perfectly for me. Its very flat along the back which is great. The adjustable bar thing in the low back sits at the bottom position and doesn't bother me.

Overall, the build is great. It feels very nice and professional. I wont list all the good about it to keep it short, but its definitely built with quality materials.

I have two main complaints. One, when you lean back in the chair, only the back portion tilts. Not the seat part. I don't know why this bothers me but it does. It just feels really weird to lean back like that. My last chair felt really fun to kick back, this one feels weird.

The other one is that the cushion just sucks. After an hour or two of sitting im dying to get off. Now, this kinda works out because I have a standup desk so it encourages me to get up, but for anyone that plans to use this for long periods... get a pad.

Very comfortable. Lots of adjustments so you can find the right fit. Been using mine a lot. Been using one for 18 months and one for 6 months. Still look new. I'm 6'1" 250lbs so this chair has not had the easiest life. Very sturdy.

Only downside is that the armrests are hard as rocks. Your elbows are going to get sore... fast.

However, that is easily fixable with aftermarket armrest covers. Lots of options if you search for "Neoprene Chair Arm Pad Covers" or similar. I tried a few and these are the best blend of fit and comfort. Unlike some of the others they look like they are part of the chair and not some weird aftermarket thing. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BXBQ5AI

I'm torn about giving this five stars. One one hand... it's not cheap, and this is a lot of money to pay for something with rock hard arm rests.

On the other hand... it's easy to fix and even if you pay a few bucks for the aftermarket arm rests... this is STILL a bargain compared to other high end office chairs which are easily over 1K dollars.

Let me put it this way... after buying the first one I was happy to buy a second. That's the ultimate endorsement right?

I work from home and am in my desk chair at least 8 hours of every day. I could not get comfortable in my old Knoll chair and was looking for something better. Because this chair is so adjustable it feels like it was made just for me. Chair height, recline, lumbar, seat depth, and arm height are all adjustable. While some reviewers did not like the 4-way adjustable armrests, I really like them. As the day goes on and I switch from heavy mouse time to keyboard time, I can move the armrests to the right placement for me. They might be better with a little more padding but overall, they're great. The mesh seat back does not get too hot. The seat has a lot of padding and is supportive and I like that you can set the seat depth. Assembly was ridiculously easy. I think it took more time to unpack it from the box than the literal 2 minutes it took to assemble. For reference, I am 5'3" but my husband is 6'3" and he said it was very comfortable for him too. Also, I love the orange color. This chair is well worth the price. I consider it an investment in my health since I am in this chair so much day to day.

I'm 6'3" and weigh 205lbs, this chair was much smaller than it looked in the photos (I guess I should've read the dimensions 1st) was easy to assemble but compared to other "mid back" chairs selling for the same price, I found this chair to lack adjustments and overall felt fragile. The recline spring, in the strongest position didn't hold my weight. This caused me to sit in an uncomfortable position. It was fairly simple to disassemble but you need a hammer and pipe wrench (as per Steel cases disassembly video). Amazon allowed me to return it for free, and I purchased the Hon Ignition 2.0 which I would highly recommend if you're a bit bigger. Get the head rest too.

Good chair, had it for two months, super easy assembly, a $700 chair in Canada. On the other hand, this chair won several "best of category" awards by major media so it's a good chair and quite comfortable. I am a little worried about how it will hold up, as it seems less sturdy than the Alera Elusion chair (another award winner, $450 in Canada) that I also bought two months ago.
