David Kim, M.D. M.S. is a board-certified fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologist at Idriss Dermatology in NYC. Dr. Kim received his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from Stanford University and completed dermatology residency at the University of Southern California, where he served as a chief resident. Prior to his dermatologic training, Dr. Kim worked at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health on issues related to HIV/AIDS, TB, and Malaria as a research assistant to Dr. Jim Kim, the 12th President of the World Bank. He also earned a Master’s degree in public health nutrition from Columbia and worked with the Millennium Village Project on child malnutrition in Kenya.
Dr. Kim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Duke University, during which he was a Howard Hughes Research Fellow both at Duke University and Harvard Stem Cell Institute.
Dr. Kim has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, British Journal of Dermatology, and Pediatric Dermatology. He has also presented at numerous conferences, including the ASDS Annual Meeting and International Master Course on Aging Science (IMCAS) in Paris.
Passionate about fashion, Dr. Kim has also worked for a number of luxury brands including CELINE, Jacquemus, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Rick Owens, Haider Ackermann, JW Anderson, Jason Wu, and Prabal Gurung in Paris and New York City.
Dr. Kim is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
