Featuring an infinity pool, steam room and terraced garden perched on a hillside of Motovun, Villa Angelo is housed in an early 18th century stone house. The property has been restored using the blend of local and modern materials with air conditioning in all of the bedrooms. Arranged over 3 floors, the house is fitted with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a spacious living room with fireplace and seating area, eat-in kitchen, terrace and a loggia. The Istrian limestone floors is equipped with under floor heating. Both the house and pool have views across the valley. Running the length of the house, the terrace can be used for entertaining with an alfresco dining table, sunbed and outdoor shower. and comfortable sofas. There is also a flat screen television and sound system provided. Parking is free and the town square is a 5-minute walk from the house.

Villa Angelo (Sleeps 8) is a 3 bed, 3 bath, luxury property and part of a group of stone houses which are just a 5 minute walk to the main square of Motovun. The property has been restored over three decades using the finest local materials. Arranged over 3 floors and 250 square metres. The attic bedroom has two additional single beds, therefore ideal for children. The large living room with three French windows give on to a full length loggia and terrace. The infinity pool, steam room and garden are for the exclusive use of Villa Angelo during the months of July and August only, giving complete privacy to our guests. Outside of these months, they are shared with 1 neighbouring property, where Ben (the Host) resides with his young family. They will of course give space to anyone renting Villa Angelo. Access to the infinity pool, steam room and garden is by a separate entrance from the main street, as the garden sits 2 storeys below the house. This entrance is approximately 20 metres from the front door of Villa Angelo. Due to Motovun being a hilltop town, as well as the parking between 100m and 500m from the property, guests need to be good on their feet.
Motovun is located in the heart of Istria, Croatia’s northern-most peninsula on the Adriatic Sea. The town grew from the site of an ancient Roman city called Kastelijer and was ruled by the Bishop of Poreč in the 10th and 11th centuries. It was overtaken by the Venetians in 1278 and fortified with a perimeter wall which is still intact today and used as a footpath with singular views across the four corners of Istria. In addition to its ancient fortifications the town is linked with a network of towers, churches and city gates containing aspects of Roman, Gothic and Renaissance styles. Today the town is home to nearly five hundred permanent residents and has everything visitors could need including several excellent restaurants, cafes and bars and a local hotel with a spa and swimming pool. There are shops that offer the best of local truffles, olive oil, cheeses and other delicacies and stalls where residents sell their fruit, vegetables and homemade wines & liquors. There is even a daily fishmonger who delivers a variety of freshly caught seafood from the back of his van.
