- Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2023If have anxiety - panic disorder and determined financial issues are trigger, this is workbook to finding the root and using CBT to help address as to the financial aspect. I see as a great "add-on", but not starting place for handling anxiety (unless the only root of your anxiety is financial).
- Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2020This book is BEYOND helpful for identifying and managing money-related anxieties. I particularly loved the chapter "Being Social with Financial Anxiety," and the section on procrastination, which really helped me work through my procrastination tendencies. This book is practical, entertaining and effective in changing the way I relate to my finances.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2025Since losing my job twice, I've always struggled with financial anxiety and fear that I will never have enough.
Even after getting a new job, I was constantly worrying about my finances and "what if" scenarios.
I've tried increasing my personal finance knowledge by reading personal finance self help books, enrolling in YNAB and their workshops, but it still didn't go away. After losing my job for the 3rd time, I realized I really needed help and came across this book online. I was surprised. After going through the exercises, especially the first 3 chapters on anxiety and implementing the strategies listed on how to resolve your emotions with money (the missing piece the other personal finance books did not provide), then I felt a lot more at peace. Even her exercise on anxiety in the beginning chapters I use it in my daily life and it has helped my anxiety immensely. Thank you so much to the author who wrote this book. It literally changed my relationship with money. I am planning to buy this once I get a new job. Highly recommend!

4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of good advice, but not what I was looking for
I guess I was forewarned: the sample does say that it's "not for people who are extremely financially strained". But I thought, you know, "hey, I can still afford the bare necessities, I'm not *extremely strained*". Well, it appears like I am. But to my defense, the sample also fooled me with it's promise to "show me how to increase my income". That was the final push to make me click "buy". I have trouble pinpointing what she meant by that... there is no actual advice to increase income... there is a exercise in which YOU can add YOUR ideas to increase your income, but I mean... I don't know about you, but I didn't need that book for that, there's Internet.
Don't get me wrong, all the advice in this book is pretty good, both for budgeting and anxiety. But... yeah, I'm too financially strained, getting a sideline job has systematically ended in a burnout in the past, and I don't really have access to a better job...
I really liked the exercise on values, it made me realize why I my job doesn't make me feel "fulfilled".
On a side note, I was slightly annoyed at the language quality. It feels self-published by someone who isn't a professional writer and who didn't bother hiring an editor. Some sentences are missing words, some start with a general "we" then switch to "you".
