Mahon is an easy going city. It is small and not too noisy.
Mahon is an easy going city. It is small and not too noisy. There is plenty to do and see. You can cover most areas on foot and there is a good bus service to other parts of Menorca. The harbour area is attractive with boat trips which are a great way to see the city and get an idea of its' history. It is also a very pleasant area to walk and there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars both in the harbour area and in the centre of town. Menorca has lovely beaches and because it is a relatively small island it is easy enough to reach anywhere from Mahon

A good base to discover the rest of the island, I think that buses can get you to a fare number of places but as frequent visitors we invariably have a car waiting at the airport. Mahon is full of character, steeped in history. Boat trips available round the huge harbour.

We would recommend their paella as it is exceptionally tasty.

Hotel Hevresac is fantastic, far above our expectations and really made our stay in Menorca the more enjoyable as a result. Ignasi & Co were very attentive and provided some great info on places to see and eat. The attention to detail makes the hotel feel like a home from home and having a kitchen was helpful. The breakfast was great as was having a proper coffee machine. Would highly recommend!
