Impactful storytelling, room for a second season
11/18/2024
The internet is host to so many rabbit holes and it’s really important to educate people on media literacy and the algorithms controlling our online usage in ways we can’t see. Pull back the curtain for a season two!
Great show- I want more!

Please :-)
Needs a second season!

lol, I just went through this a second time after David Cross mentioned it on HIS podcast, but it’s quite fascinating listening years later. I had forgotten about all those right wing trolls, who loomed so large in 2016. I’m also surprised that it’s only been four years for TikTok to go from new upstart to possibly outlawed in the US. But how has the TikTok algorithm affected folks’ perception of reality? How has it played into global events? Where are all the Q acolytes now? The world needs a season 2!
Great Topic

I’m not a fan of the production, but there’s some really good stuff here. In particular, the QAnon episode was appropriately sympathetic.
Ridiculous

Well here we are still arguing that the Earth is flat. This narrator, if she believes the nonsense she puts forth, needs to take a breath and get an education. I just can’t.
So good!

Cross said he listened to this and Serial. I really got a kick out of listening to this. Was so relieved to learn that Caleb didn’t turn into a school shooter. YouTube lady is very helpful to hear from. The reporting in this is very well done. Will be looking forward to whatever you guys do next.
Loved it!

I listened to this after David Cross gave it a shoutout on his podcast (Senses Working Overtime) and said it’s one of the only podcasts he’s ever listened to, and he enjoyed it. Decided to listen based on that, and so glad I did! Fascinating, excellent reporting, and a good look at how far we’ve come (or regressed) because of the Internet.
Fantastic fact-reporting

I was extremely pleased that they did not record a microcosm of information; they incorporated the thoughts and stories of opposing views and humanized them in a way that makes it easier to listen to why they think and feel how they do. 100% recommend for any leftist that wants to understand what draws people to the right/alt-right.
Pointless

On episode 3 and so far this podcast is entirely about YouTube is, get ready for it… addictive!! And one particular dude in West Virginia is a loser and a moron. And YouTube made him racist.
Cringe on top of cringe.

The nytimes is trying their hardest to convince you that if you don’t think the way the legacy media (far left) wants you to then essentially you’re in a rabbit hole. No wonder Americans have tuned out from the MSM.
